Ram temple of Ayodhya : A Bloody History
According to archaeologists, the Ram temple was built in the eleventh century i.e. between 1 thousand to 11 hundred AD.
Babar, the founder of Mughals Empire defeated Ibrahim Lodi in the first waterway battle in 1526 The tortured tradition of Muslim rulers have been to the flag of Islam by possessing power and breaking down non-islamic places of worship to build a mosque or converting them into mosques.
Babar paid attention to that side. That's why, Babar ordered his commander Mir Baki Khan, to attack Ayodhya in 1527/28, killing some Hindus and capturing others.
Then India's main Ram temple, situated in Ayodhya, the birthplace of Ram, was demolished and on the top of it was built a mosque. which is why it was named Babri Masjid.
It is said that while building this mosque, the Hindus who were held captive were cut off at their throats in halal tradition and their blood was collected in pots. that blood was then first and then the mosque was then mixed with lime-surki in the water, and the construction was raised brick by brick on the ruins of the temple and in similar fashion. This was in typical Islamic custom, just as thousands of other temples were demolished to break the morale of Hindus.
Similarly Babar Sambal and Chanderi temple demolished and converted him into mosque and destroyed Jain temple and idol near Gwalior.
In the victory mission of Islam, Babri Masjid is also a victory memorial dedicated to Babar . The historical proof that Babar destroyed the Ram temple and built a mosque is that Hindus fought 21 times to recover the temple. If Babar had built a mosque in a separate place instead of demolishing the temple, would the Hindus have the bothered to do so?
But repeated attempts by the Hindus during the reigns of Humayun and Akbar to recover temple in Ramjanmabhoomi caused Akbar to finally relent and settle a compromise allowing Ram temple to be constructed next to the mosque and a smaller temple is built. All this is clearly mentioned in "Dewan e Akbari", a chronicle on the history of Akbar's rule.
Status quo was maintained during the reigns of Jahangir and Shah Jahan. But the rabid jihadi Aurangzeb couldn't tolerate it. He forcibly razed that temple too.
One Vaishnav Das Maharaj and some thousands of munis, rishis however resisted Aurangzeb’s men and were barely able to save the temple of service.
Aurangzeb, the cruel despot, would not accept that and kept sending forces to destroy that temple. But each time the Hindu sevayats and Sikh guru Govind Singh led the Sikhra together to protect the temple or restore the occupied temple.
An incensed Aurangzeb then attacked suddenly with a large force on the seventh day of Ramadan and demolished the Ram temple built next to mosque. About 10 thousand Hindus were killed in this process. This is mentioned in the Alamgir Nama, another historical narrative of those times.
Then during the First War of Independence, the revolt by soldiers in 1857, Mohanta Udbhav Das of Hanuman Gari tried to rescue Ramjanmabhumi with an armed attack. With Hindus fighting hand-in-hand with the Muslim soldiers of Nawab Farman Ali of Ayodhya, the Nawab was forced to issue an order to end the war by allowing temple construction and worship in an area surrounded by walls.
But when the rebellion faltered and finally failed, the Britishers publicly hanged many from a tamarind tree in that place even as they cancelled the Nawab’s order. Later the tree was uprooted and all was burned down and once again Hindus lost their right to worship there.
in 1912, Hindus managed to rescue part of Sree Ram’s birthplace in exchange of many innocent lives led by saints. The next recovery effort was made in 1934.
After this, the British banned entry of all Hindus & Muslims in Ayodhya. From that time no one offered prayer in Babri Mosque. These historical facts are documented in the record books of the Faizabad Collector.
The Babri structure was at thus at the time of demolition merely
an abandoned mosque, full of plants and trees growing wild on a dilapidated construction. Old photos of the disputed structure stand testimony to that.
Since 1527, Hindus have fought for and tried to resurrect the temple 76 times, in small efforts and large. It is only in the 77th attempt that Hindus managed to demolish the disputed islamic structure and a symbol of the occupation, transformation and intolerance of the mughals to dust in 1992.
But even that last attempt took over 2 years to put into execute. After that, multiple jail fine threats were broken in exchange of some lives on December 6, 1992 Babri Mosque. So this 6 December is considered and known as "Saurya_Day" to Hindus.
