This is a roof top in Dehradun. And the girls you see are Shalinis. The Udayan Shalini Fellowship is doing the great service of educating these children and helping them stand on their own two feet.

It’s beautiful, the Shalinis pull their entire families out of circumstances which are tough. I can only imagine how far and wide a single Shalini’s influence can be.

I met each of these girls on Zoom. Believe you me- I was so inspired.

Now, Quill Club Writers is working with the Udayan Shalini Fellowship.

These children have been selected for our mentoring and writing programme after a test.

Now they are writing a short story each. These stories will be in Hindi.

Thank you Ricky Surie for reaching out, believing in us and giving us this lovely opportunity.
