Bonjour, mes amis et amies!
📣 I am making an exit from Facebook for an undecided period. Rachel from "Friends" would have said "will be on a break". This should be the last thread I am posting here in this year and last post where I am commenting this year. Facebook is now too dull and boring for me to handle. 🤕 reminds me of Orkut 🤔
Primary reason - I need to spend more time in LinkedIN. For a long time, I have not be doing justice to my professional persona as an engineer trained as a full stack developer. I need to rekindle that Science and Tech spark in me which was subdued by an artistic urge. I will continue to satiate that through doodling, storytelling and art of movie making🎦 I have vouched to not monetise these in future 🤣
Paid gigs are biggest artists killers!!!! 🤮
Second reason, need to focus on business strategy for a small studio rental business run by Rimpi and a dear friend of us. This has now gained some tractions and I need to scale up and scale out eventually. This will be my addiction this year and should give me enough dopamine and adrenaline to keep me feeling high 🤣🤣
Point to note : I am not hanging up my boots as a photographer, however , certainly removing my boots and giving it some trustworthy allies to wear those now onwards 😜😜
I am NOT deleting my profile either. I hope you will forgive me if I enter into the arena again like 'Mihir'. I will try to abstain as much as possible in the year 2024. I must admit, old memories suggestions Facebook keep pushing to me are too tempting to resist. Those always exemplify naïvetés of my younger self 🤣. So, there is no guarantee that I will not come back here and not try to flog this dead horse again 🤣
In the meantime, my lovely wife Rimpi Baruah will help me peek inside this world time to time 😜😜
✅ You can still connect with me via LinkedIN and Instagram. I will share the links in comments. ❌ But not via WhatsApp much unless I have your number in my phonebook 🤣. WhatsApp is the new SMS. It has become a chaos 🤣I can hardly humanely filter and get to an important message from an unknown number. You will have a better chance in getting a reply from me in Insta DM.
However, it will be ungrateful of me if I make a quiet exit without expressing my gratitude here. I am really thankful to everyone for their kindness towards me. I got much more love than I deserve in Facebook ❤️❤️🙏🙏
Having said that, I have also noted that all friends and acquaintances who care about me are also in LinkedIn and Insta. This should make this transition smoother 🤔✅
