🇨🇳 China’s HQ-29 “Satellite Killer” System Spotted in Rare Footage — Claims Rival S-500 Capability

Newly surfaced footage circulating online appears to show China transporting a full battery of its next-generation HQ-29 anti-ballistic missile system, offering one of the clearest glimpses yet of the country’s most advanced strategic interceptor.

According to defence analysis, the footage captures multiple launchers and interceptor missiles being moved by rail — a strong indication that the system is operational or nearing full deployment. Observers noted that the number of launchers and overall configuration suggests at least one complete battery, with speculation that more units may already be in service.

The HQ-29, first publicly unveiled during China’s 2025 military parade, is designed for high-altitude interception of ballistic threats. Analysts believe it is capable of engaging targets outside the atmosphere, including intercontinental ballistic missiles and potentially hypersonic weapons.

What makes the system particularly notable is its reported anti-satellite capability. Estimates suggest it could intercept objects in low Earth orbit, placing it in the category of so-called “satellite killer” systems — a capability currently limited to a small number of major powers.

Open-source assessments indicate a possible engagement range of up to 2,500 km and interception altitudes between roughly 150 km and 850 km, although these figures remain unverified. Speed estimates place the interceptor between Mach 6 and Mach 10.

If accurate, these capabilities could place the HQ-29 in direct competition with advanced systems like Russia’s S-500, particularly in terms of high-altitude engagement. However, analysts caution that much of the available data is still based on limited evidence, with no official confirmation from Beijing.

The emergence of this footage is widely seen as a calculated signal — highlighting capability while retaining strategic ambiguity — as competition intensifies in both missile defence and space warfare domains.

Fire at Fujairah Oil Zone as Iran Resumes Drone Strikes on UAE During Ceasefire

A large fire broke out Monday at the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ) after a drone strike launched from Iran, according to a statement from Fujairah's Media Office. Civil defense teams were immediately deployed and are actively working to bring the blaze under control. No casualties have been confirmed at this time.

The attack did not come alone. The UAE Defence Ministry reported intercepting four ballistic missiles in the same timeframe, and Al Jazeera is reporting additional Iranian missile and drone activity targeting the Emirates on Monday. What makes this particularly significant is the timing — the UAE had only just issued fresh missile alerts for the first time since the current ceasefire took effect, raising serious questions about where this conflict is heading.

Fujairah is not just another industrial zone. It sits at the eastern end of the Abu Dhabi Crude Oil Pipeline, the UAE's only major oil export route that bypasses the Strait of Hormuz entirely. Striking it repeatedly sends a clear message about Iran's intent to pressure Gulf energy infrastructure.

This is a developing story. Further updates will be posted as confirmed information becomes available.

News : Polish PM Warns Russia Could ∆ttack NATO “Within Months,” Raising Urgency Across Europe

European security concerns have intensified after Poland’s Prime Minister w∆rned that Russia could potentially launch an ∆ttack against a NATO member within months, not years, signaling a much shorter timeline than previously assessed.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has issued a st∆rk w∆rning that Russia may be capable of att∆cking a NATO country within a matter of months, dramatically accelerating earlier estimates that suggested a timeline of several years.

According to reports, Tusk emphasized that the thre∆t is no longer distant or theoretical, urging European nations to treat the situation with immediate seriousness. The w∆rning comes amid ongoing tensions from the Russia-Ukraine w∆r and increasing concerns about Moscow’s long-term strategic intentions toward NATO.

Recent assessments across Europe indicate a growing belief that Russia is preparing for a prolonged confront∆tion with the West, including hybrid w∆rfare, cyber operations, and potential conventional milit∆ry scenarios. Intelligence agencies in multiple countries have already described Russia as the most significant security thre∆t to the continent in decades.

At the same time, NATO and European leaders are facing internal questions about readiness, unity, and response capability particularly along the alliance’s eastern flank. Tusk highlighted that uncertainty over collective defense and political cohesion could further complicate deterrence efforts.

While some Western projections previously estimated a possible conflict timeline of several years, this latest warning suggests that strategic conditions could evolve far more rapidly, especially if the situation in Ukraine shifts or escalates further.

Read : Raven Air Defense System Reports Over 400 Intercepts In Ukraine, New Variant Emerges

The Raven air defense system has reportedly intercepted more than 400 aerial targets during ongoing operations in Ukraine, according to recent reporting. The system, developed as a mobile and adaptable air defense solution, has been used to counter a range of threats including drones and other low-altitude targets.

A newly identified variant, referred to as the Raven-5, has also been observed for the first time. While detailed specifications remain limited, the upgraded version is believed to feature improvements in targeting capability and operational flexibility, reflecting ongoing efforts to enhance short-range air defense performance in active combat environments.

The Raven system is designed to be rapidly deployable and cost-effective, making it particularly suited for countering asymmetric aerial threats such as unmanned systems, which have become a significant component of modern warfare.

This development highlights the continued evolution of battlefield air defense technologies as both sides adapt to changing operational demands.

✈️ FRANCE–GREECE TALKS MAY ENABLE TRANSFER OF 40+ MIRAGE FIGHTERS TO UKRAINE

Military Cognizance | Verified. Sourced. Accurate.

France is reportedly advancing discussions with Greece on a potential defense arrangement that could lead to the transfer of more than 40 Mirage fighter jets to Ukraine, a move that would significantly enhance Kyiv’s air combat capabilities.

Under the reported framework, Greece could transfer a substantial portion of its Mirage fleet, including aircraft currently in service and those in storage. In return, France may offer Greece favorable terms for the acquisition of newer Rafale fighter jets, supporting Athens’ ongoing military modernization efforts.

The discussions are expected to coincide with high-level diplomatic engagements between France and Greece, where broader defense cooperation is also likely to be reviewed.

While no final agreement has been confirmed, the proposal reflects continued efforts by Western partners to strengthen Ukraine’s air force. However, the outcome remains uncertain, as Greece must carefully weigh its own operational requirements and strategic considerations before proceeding with any large-scale transfer.
