Since most schools don’t have the space to spread students out in different classrooms, teachers and principals said the only way to implement the orders would be by staggering the attendance and calling half the class to school on any particular day.

DMRC will send this DPR to NMRC which will examine the feasibility of the project. A new metro route will be built along Noida-Greater Noida Expressway to join the two airports. This route will also touch Botanical Garden and Sector 142.

The length of the route will be 11.5 km, per the old DPR. It will have 11 stations including Sector 142, 136, 91, 93, 98 and Botanical Garden. The new DPR may cut down the number of stations to 5 -- Sector 91, 98, 105, 44 and Botanical Garden.

The official orders issued by Noida Health Department stated that wearing face masks remains mandatory in offices, schools, colleges, hospitals, malls, cinema halls and public transport. Anyone who does not wear a mask will be denied access.

Dr Sunil Sharma, Chief Medical Officer, stated- “A rise in cases of Covid has been noted in the country, including parts of Uttar Pradesh. In a move aimed at centralising waste management, including its collection and processing, keeping an eye on the Swachh Survekshan, the Greater Noida Authority has decided to hire a private agency for door-to-door collection of waste in its in 95 sectors and 124 villages. Currently, garbage is collected from households only in some of the developed sectors in Greater Noida. The city generates 250-350 tonnes of municipal solid waste (MSW) every day.

The national cyber crime helpline is 1930 but 0120-4846100 will be solely for cyber crimes in Noida. The narcotics helpline will also be helpful for police as those who want to give information about the sale or consumption of drugs can directly inform us, without any fear of getting involved,” said commissioner Singh.

According to Noida Authority officials, work on electricity connections, overhead shades and Wi-Fi connectivity are under way and will be completed within a week. Lulu Group, a food-processing giant, had asked for land from the Greater Noida Authority. The company had also met CEO Ritu Maheshwari. They had expressed their intention to make a world-class mall in India. Around 6,000 people will get direct job opportunities.
