The launch of the Udaan Yatri Café at Indian airports has been widely appreciated as a much-needed relief for passengers who were long frustrated by overpriced food and water. The initiative gained momentum after Raghav Chadha raised the issue in Parliament, highlighting how basic necessities like tea, samosas, and water were being sold at exorbitant prices. In response, the government-backed café now offers tea at ₹10, samosas at ₹20, and drinking water at ₹10, ensuring affordable access for common travelers, especially middle-class and frequent flyers. The move is being seen as a strong example of how public pressure and political intervention can directly improve everyday experiences for citizens, making air travel more humane and passenger-friendly.
