Hosted by the Information Technology Development Agency - ITDA, Uttarakhand, the Information Technology, Science & Technology Department, Uttarakhand, & CERT-Uttarakhand, in association with APAC Media and supported by STPI -India, the 5th APAC India Digital Empowerment Summit โ Uttarakhand Edition brought together policymakers, senior government officials, industry leaders, technology experts, startups, and academicians to deliberate on the future of digital governance, public service delivery, cybersecurity, emerging technologies, and digital empowerment in Uttarakhand.
The summit revolved around the theme: โ๐จ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ต๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑโ๐ ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐น ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ง๐ต๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ด๐ต ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ ๐ง๐ผ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ ๐ฉ๐ถ๐ธ๐๐ถ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฐ๐ณ.โ
The day began with the esteemed presence of Honโble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, who formally inaugurated the summit and chaired the high-level Industry CEO's Roundtable. During the roundtable, the Honโble Chief Minister shared his forward-looking vision for a digitally empowered Uttarakhand aligned with the goals of Viksit Bharat 2047. He also encouraged industry leaders to collaborate with the state in advancing digital innovation, positioning Uttarakhand as a preferred investment destination, and strengthening its journey towards becoming a secure and resilient digital ecosystem.
The Industry CEO Roundtable was followed by the inaugural session, chaired by Shri Pradeep Batra, Honโble Minister for Information Technology, Good Governance, Science & Technology, and Transportation, Uttarakhand. The session was graced by distinguished dignitaries including Shri Nitesh Kumar Jha, IAS, Secretary, Information Technology & Urban Development Department, Uttarakhand; Shri Alok Kumar Pandey, IAS, Additional Secretary, IT Department and Director, ITDA; Shri DK Tiwari , Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Good Governance and IT, Punjab; Dr. Amit Sharma, Additional Director General and Adviser (Cyber), Ministry of Defence, Govt of India; & Shri Arvind Kumar, Director General, STPI.
This was followed by an engaging Industry CEO Roundtable with the Honโble IT Minister, fostering discussions on policy, innovation, and digital growth. The roundtable witnessed the participation of key officials, including Shri Alok Kumar Pandey; Dr. Tanzeem Ali, Deputy Secretary, IT Department & Finance Controller, ITDA; & Prof. Durgesh Pant, Director General, UCOST.
The Hon'ble IT Minister also inaugurated the expo showcasing innovations in AI, emerging tech, and cybersecurity.
The day was marked by engaging panel discussions on AI, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies, alongside impactful industry presentations.
