*Indo-US Relations: The Modi-Biden Bonhomie*

The oft quoted guiding line in diplomacy is "There are only _permanent interests;_ no _permanent friends_ in international relations."
However, leaders who have sound understanding of geostrategic realities and superior communicative and interactive skills, do acquire an ascendency - unspoken but widely visible - over their counterparts. Such leaders also influence the public mind - not only in their own countries, but across the world as well. Besides, let it be clear to all that India is not Ukraine, nor is PM Modi a Zelensky for the US or China!

Isn't it wonderous that Heads of States bow to touch India's PM's feet, seek his autograph and call him "Boss" in their own countries amid public applause!

Even in Pakistan we often hear voices crying in desperation, "इन लुटेरों से अच्छा तो मोदी को दे दो पकिस्तान की हकूमत....!"

Media projection at home and abroad is a vital part of diplomacy and public communication. Some leaders acquire an aura that impacts politics, public mind and the media globally.

In today's world, I reckon the vital factors compelling the US to keep India in good cheer are:

a) the geopolitical realities and strategic compulsions in the Indo-Pacific,

b) the global impact of the Russo-Ukraine war,

c) a weakening Europe,

d) China's growing power and influence in the Indian Ocean, Indo-Pacific and the Oceania;

e) India's emergence as a new global power racing ahead of all in its economic growth!

The principal US interest is to check China's growing influence whereas India's principal interest is to expand its manufacturing capabilities in defence and technology (AI) to counter China.

Thus, interests of both, though different in nature, converge on China! Hence the Modi-Biden bonhomie which, as the present circumstances and the future indicate, is going to last long. And despite all this, New India is no longer "Non-aligned", we are aligned with Peace and Progress! While India has categorically told Russia to desist from waging war, it has refused to align with the US sanctions regime. Our relations with both - Russia and the US are cordial and progressive.

While the China challenge can be a catalysing factor, there is enough in the bilateral opportunities to sustain the partnership in an enduring way. US companies have invested $54 billion in India creating one million direct jobs. Indian companies have invested more that $40 billion in the US creatin...

स्वतंत्राता से पहले भारत में खुले मंचों पर धर्म गुरुओं, विद्वानों के बीच धार्मिक मान्यताओं, शास्त्रों आदि पर बहस और शास्त्रार्थ हुआ करते थे। धर्म शास्त्रों व गन्थों की विवेचना होती थी। तर्क में जो विद्वान हार जाता वो विजयी पक्ष का मत सहर्ष स्वीकार कर लेता था और समागम बिना किसी उपद्रव के समाप्त हो जाया करते।

लेकिन आज का हाल कुछ ऐसा हो गया है कि यदि किसी ने तुलसी कृत महाकाव्य *राम चरित मानस* की किसी पंक्ति में कोई दोष निकाल दिया तो उस *दोष* पर बहस करने की बजाय, दोष को इंगित करने वाले व्यक्ति को ही सूली पर चढ़ाने लग जाते हैं। बताए गए दोष को ही बचाने लगते हैं।

वैदिक/सनातन/हिन्दू धर्म इतना छिलछिला नहीं है। लेकिन जब धर्म के अड्डे प्रपंची, ढोंगी और अधकचड़े विद्वानों के कब्ज़े में हो जाए तो 'धर्म' की जगह 'सम्प्रदाय' घेर लेता है, और बढ़ते शोर में भावावेश सामाजिक आक्रोश बढ़ता है, हिंसा होती है और धर्म लुप्त हो जाता है। जैसे आज धीरेन्द्र शास्त्री जैसे नादान, उतावले लड़कों को धर्म गुरु मान कर श्रद्धालुओं का जमावड़ा बढ़ता जाता है जो सर्वथा निरर्थक और अवांछनीय है।

जब समाज में बुद्धिजीवी वर्ग निष्क्रिय हो जाता है तो समाज को गुमराह करने वाले प्रपंचियो का कंट्रोल होना स्वाभाविक ही है।

अपूज्यानां यत्र पूज्यंते, पूज्यानां तु विमानना।
त्रीणि तत्र प्रवर्तन्ते- दुर्भिक्षं, मरणं, भयं।।

_अर्थात् जहाँ निकम्मे लोगों की पूजा और विद्वानों का तिरस्कार होगा, वहाँ तीन आपदाओं का प्रकोप होगा - अकाल, मृत्यु और भय/अशांति!_

*BBC Documentary - From the Horse's Mouth*

Here is a piece by my niece who lives in the Uk which throws light on the BBC documentary, followed by my additional note:

1. BBC fekucumentary starts with **
who is Journalist with the Propaganda website *The Wire*. He also writes for Article 14 and money laundering accused propaganda firm Newsclick

2. The second character in this propaganda documentary is *Hartosh Singh Bal*. He is the Political Editor of the Propaganda news website *The Caravan.*
another Modi bashing setup.

3. The third character who appeared in the Propaganda Documentary of BBC is *Nilanjan Mukhopadhyay.*
who also writes for *The Wire and The Caravan*.
He works and gets a salary from the money laundering accused firm Newsclick.

5. The Forth character who appeared in Propaganda BBC Documentary is *Arundhati Roy*. I think almost every Indian knows about her.
But very few know that she was the first to give funds to propaganda fact-checking website *Altnews* and their communist owners!

5. A Fifth character in the Propaganda BBC documentary is *Jaffrelot Christophe.*
Interestingly, his propaganda works are promoted by the same entities like The Wire and The Caravan.
In fact, this propaganda writer Jaffrelot Christophe has tagged Indian American Muslim council which is working to put sanctions on India to watch and share this propaganda BBC Documentary.

_(Some time ago, *The Caravan* had carried a long article on the NSA, *Shri Ajit Doval.* The writer doing that story rang me up and fixed up to interview me at my house in Noida. He had posed as a 'Doval fan' and soon won my hospitality too. However, in the article published in The Caravan later, I found he had cunningly misquoted me suppressing and twisting facts to suit his story to malign Shri Ajit Doval whom I have always held in high regards as a friend, intellectual and a geopolitical strategist of great standing. Subsequently, when I sent a rebuttal refuting those parts of the Caravan story, it was never published. My reminders and telephonic calls went unanswered! That is the level of this malice trading media managed by the 5th Column enemies of India! - Karan Kharb)_

6. *Jack Straw,* another important character behind this documentary came on Propaganda Website *The Wire* for an exclusive interview just after the release of the Propaganda BBC documentary. What a coincidence that he chose The Wire for an interview!

After the release of the Propaganda BBC documentary, Propaganda journalists of The Wire and The Caravan and other IPSMF funded entities have done their job as per planning.

But do you know who funds these Propaganda websites like The Wire, The Caravan, Alt News, Article 14, etc..?
It's *IPSMF* = "Independent And Public-Spirited Media Foundation" which was registered as a public charitable trust in Bengaluru on 1 July 2015. NOTE that most of these so called alternate/Fact Check news portals like WIRE and ALTNEWS started after 2014, ie after Narendra Modi became India's PM, to spread fake narratives against the Modi govt.
And who are the donors of IPSMF? IPSMF was started by securing a fund of 100 crores with *Rohini Nilekani*, wife of *Nandan Nilekani* donating 30 Crores.

Rohini Nilekani, wife of Nandan Nilekani's role models are *George Soros* and his *Open Society Foundation* along with *Bill Gates* and the *Ford Foundation!*
You must remember that *Nandan Nilekani* has contested the election on a *Congress ticket* in 2014 after joining Congress.

My sincere request to dispell this dangerous anti-India propaganda: Please share this expose with maximum people. We don't have a network like them where they have a cartel of web portals and direct association with international media.

The crucial angle in the whole episode was deliberately omitted by BBC: A railway coach with 59 men, women and children was locked from outside by a mob comprised of one particular section of society and set on fire. All 59 passengers were burnt alive. The state government under Mr. Modi, in order that public outrage should not erupt, tried to deal it with due sensitivity. Relatives of the deceased were asked to collect the remains of their kin. However, when they saw the bodies and learnt what had happened, the outrage was spontaneous and horrendous! When violence broke out, it was reminiscent of the 1969 in intensity. You were a student then, Yamini, and Jayantbhai, who was Deputy Inspector General of Police in Ahmedabad was actively involved in bringing peace in the city, and so was I patrolling the city and had seen the carnage. Incidentally it was much worse than what happened in 2002, the subject of BBC documentary. Curiously, no mention of those communal riots was referred to in the present documentary!
It is interesting also to see that for eight years since the event of 2002 took place in Gujarat the Federal government in India was ruled by Modi-hating Congress party under Mrs Sonia Gandhi. Despite the government machinery including the intelligence services and other law enforcement agencies, the Central Government in India, in spite of their best efforts, could not establish Modi’s complicity in the riots. Even the Supreme Court of India, which constituted a Special Investigation Team which grilled Mr Modi for 9 hours with a short break, finally gave a ckean chit to Mr. Modi. That was the first and the only instance where an elected Chief Minister of a state in India was subjected to such investigation and emerged as the state chief who did everything in his power to control the riots, let alone instigating them. The SIT under an unusually strict investigator completely exonerated Mr. Modi.

One wonders why at this particular moment the BBC decided to air this documentary, twenty years after the event that had been followed by so many impartial investigations from the lowest to the highest levels both at an anti-Modi Congress Government at the Centre and the Judiciary from lowest to the highest levels.

But why now? Propaganda manufacturing is already on to slow down India's growth and to malign Modi!
Who fears Modi returning to power? Enemies of india! Who else?
