The Embassy of Argentina to India celebrated their Independence Day at New Delhi, India. Hon. Minister for Coal and Mines, Shri G. Kishan Reddy attended the event as the Chief Guest, wherein he reiterated India’s commitment to the Strategic Partnership, guided by the roadmap set during the recent meeting between the Hon. Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi and Hon. President of Argentina, H.E. Javier Milei. emphasised Argentina’s status as a reliable partner for India, particularly in the domains of critical minerals, economic cooperation, and global security.

The Ambassador of Argentina to India, H.E. Mariano Caucino, highlighted that Argentina was the first country to condemn the Pahalgam terror attack, recalling the terror attacks in Argentina on the Israel Embassy in 1992. He lauded the growing economy of India and how the India–Argentina partnership continues to expand.

On this note, a special publication of Diplomacy and Beyond Plus on Argentina-India 75 Years of diplomatic relations has been released.

India hosted the 2nd BIMSTEC Ports Conclave in Visakhapatnam from July 14-15 on the theme, "Navigating the Future: Blue Economy, Innovation and Sustainable Partnerships", the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) noted in an official statement. The Conclave discussed diverse issues such as harmonising customs procedures and enhancing logistical links to boost intra-regional trade, port-linked industrial zones, cruise tourism, digital integration, upskilling the maritime workforce, industry-academia ties, and green shipping, amongst other areas.

Along with the above, India virtually hosted the 4th BIMSTEC Disaster Management Exercise to assess and enhance regional preparedness for cyclones and floods. Participants presented details of national disaster management architectures, engaged in simulated scenarios, evaluated response frameworks and shared best practices to strengthen coordination for disaster response across the region.

External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Tianjin on July 15. Dr. Jaishankar arrived in China after concluding his visit to Singapore.🇮🇳🇨🇳

Jaishankar met with the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Secretary General Nurlan Yermekbayev in Beijing on Monday, and said that the discussions between the two highlighted the contribution and importance of the 10-member organisation and endeavours to modernise its working.

He held a meeting with Chinese Vice President Han Zheng in Beijing and noted the improvement in bilateral ties. Jaishankar expressed confidence that discussions during his visit will maintain that positive trajectory.

He said, "We have marked, Excellency, the 75th anniversary of the establishment of our diplomatic relations. The resumption of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is also widely appreciated in India. Continued normalisation of our ties can produce mutually beneficial outcomes." He also met his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, and the Chinese President Xi Jinping for a bilateral meeting.
