Prinsep Ghat is a ghat built in 1841 during the British Raj, along the Kolkata bank of the Hooghly River in India. Located on the banks of the Hooghly river, Princep Ghat is a majestic structure noted for its Gothic inlays. With a mesmeric backdrop of Howrah Bridge, the ghat is an ideal place to catch splendid views of sunsets and sunrises. Early mornings (6:00 AM to 9:00 AM) and evenings (5:00 PM to 7:00 PM) are highly recommended for boating in the serene river. Some boatmen extend the evening river boat ride on request for another hour or so at additional charges. Princep Ghat is located on Strand Road and the nearest metro station is Esplanade, you may board the bus or hire a cab to reach there. Also you can take a local train to reach there, kindly check the suitable train timetable……….
