গান্ধী, গণতন্ত্ৰ আৰু স্বাধীনতা

জনতাৰ হৃদয়ত বিপ্লৱৰ জোঁৱাৰ তুলি
এজন মানুহ আহিছিল—
হাতত লাঠি, হৃদয়ত সত্য,
কণ্ঠত হিংসাৰ বিপৰীতে অহিংসাৰ গান।
ক্ষমতাৰ লোভত তেওঁ লালায়িত নাছিল
ৰাজসিংহাসনৰ আগত তেওঁ নত নহ’ল,
নত হ’ল কেৱল মাটিৰ আগত
কাৰণ মাটিৰ বুকুতেই মানুহৰ অধিকাৰ লিখা থাকে।
গণতন্ত্ৰ তেওঁৰ বাবে কেৱল ভোটৰ দিন নহয়,
ই আছিল ন্যায়ৰ দৈনন্দিন অনুশীলন
দুৰ্বলজনৰ কথা ক’ব পৰা সাহস,
পৰাধীনতাৰ মাজতো শিৰ উচ্ছ কৰি
থিয় হোৱা শিক্ষা।
স্বাধীনতা তেওঁ শিকালে
কেৱল শৃংখল ভাঙি নহয়,
মন-মগজুৰ ভিতৰৰ ভয় ভাঙি।
স্বাধীনতা মানে অন্যায় নেদেখাৰ সুবিধা নহয়,
অন্যায় দেখিও নীৰৱ নোহোৱা দায়িত্ব।
গান্ধীৰ খোজে খোজে
পথবোৰ ইতিহাস হ’ল,
নিমখেই বিদ্ৰোহ হ’ল,
আৰু সাধাৰণ মানুহেই দেশৰ মুখ্য শক্তি হ’ল।
গণতন্ত্ৰৰ বতাহত যেতিয়া স্বাৰ্থৰ ধূলি উৰে,
তেওঁ নিঃশব্দ কণ্ঠে কৈ যায়—
“সত্য ধীৰ, কিন্তু অপৰাজেয়।”
গান্ধী মানে কেৱল অতীত নহয়,
গান্ধী মানে আজিৰ বিবেক,
আৰু আগন্তুক স্বাধীনতাৰ অবিৰাম সন্ধান।

“Gandhi, Democracy and Freedom”
========================
Stirring waves of revolution in the hearts of the people,
one man arrived—
a staff in his hand, truth in his heart,
and on his lips a song of non-violence against violence.
He was not driven by the greed for power;
before the royal throne he did not bow.
He bowed only to the earth,
for it is upon the earth’s breast that human rights are inscribed.
Democracy, for him, was not merely a day of voting;
it was the daily practice of justice—
the courage to speak for the weak,
the lesson of standing tall
even amid subjugation.
Freedom, he taught,
was not only about breaking chains,
but about shattering the fears within the mind.
Freedom does not mean the privilege of ignoring injustice;
it is the responsibility of not remaining silent
even after witnessing injustice.
With every step Gandhi took,
paths turned into history,
salt itself became rebellion,
and ordinary people became the nation’s greatest strength.
When the winds of democracy are clouded
by the dust of selfishness,
his silent voice still whispers
“Truth is slow, but invincible.”
Gandhi is not merely the past;
Gandhi is today’s conscience,
and the ceaseless quest
for the freedom yet to come.
