SDF Party Holds District-Level Meeting for Namchi District in Ghurpisey, Namchi

The Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) Party successfully convened a District-Level Meeting for Namchi District today at Ghurpisey at 11:00 AM. The meeting, chaired by Hon’ble Party President Shri Pawan Chamling, witnessed the active and enthusiastic participation of key party functionaries who deliberated on strategies to strengthen and expand the party’s organisational structure at the grassroots level.

The primary agenda of the meeting was a comprehensive discussion on organisational strengthening, capacity building, and grassroots mobilisation aimed at revitalising the SDF’s presence and outreach across Namchi District.

The meeting was graced by senior leaders of the SDF Party, including Smt. Sakun Gurung (Sr. Vice President In-Charge, Namchi District), Shri Krishna Kharel (Sr. Vice President, Press and Publicity Headquarters), Shri Sarvadhan Rai (District President, Pakyong District), Shri Ramesh Kirat Rai (District President, Namchi District), Smt. Urvashi Khaling Rai (General Secretary, Press and Publicity), and Shri Shail Tomatshang (Publicity Secretary-cum-Spokesperson, Zonal).

During the meeting, the speakers shared their insights and reaffirmed their collective commitment to strengthening the party organisation in Namchi District and carrying forward the party’s vision, policies, and programmes to the people of Sikkim.

On this occasion, several party members were also entrusted with new responsibilities to enhance the district-level organisational framework:

• Smt. Sarikah Sherpa – Vice Treasurer, Namchi District

• Shri Binod Jogi – Secretary, Frontal Organisation, Namchi District

The SDF Party reaffirmed its resolve to intensify grassroots engagement and continue its mission of serving the people of Sikkim with renewed energy and purpose.

Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang met with an elderly couple, Shri Sanchaman S***a and Smt. Dil Maya S***a, from Thingling Khechuperi, Yuksom Constituency, at his official residence, Mintokgang, on Tuesday.

Describing the meeting as a “deeply fulfilling and heartwarming experience,” the Chief Minister expressed admiration for the couple’s humility and wisdom. He inquired about their health and well-being and also sought their blessings during the visit.

In a compassionate gesture, the Chief Minister announced that a new house will be constructed for the couple under the Sikkim Garib Awas Yojana (SGAY), reaffirming the government’s commitment to the welfare of senior citizens and underprivileged families. Construction of the new home is expected to begin soon.

Tickets Now Reach Every Corner of Sikkim — Bringing Comfort to Fans Beyond Gangtok

In a thoughtful move to make “Sajjan Raj Vaidya Live: Let’s Get Loud Sikkim” more accessible, organizers have introduced ticket outlets across multiple districts outside Gangtok.

Fans from Ranipool, Majitar, Mangan, Pakyong, Namchi, Jorethang, Soreng, and Kalimpong can now conveniently purchase their tickets locally — eliminating the need to travel to Gangtok just to secure passes.

This initiative aims to bring ease and inclusion to music lovers across Sikkim and nearby regions, ensuring that everyone can be part of Sajjan Raj Vaidya’s first-ever India performance on 15th November, 4 PM at Tadong College Ground, Gangtok.
