Our Story

DRISYA CHANNELS A project by K.C.C.D.L., Paika Cable T.V industry has stepped in to Kerala and began its function in 1990. It commenced as a self employment scheme for unemployed youth and it was an independent small scale enterprise across Kerala. Later on this enterprise faced many challenges and to overcome those challenges, an association named Cable Operators Association (COA) took birth. Under the COA different type of cable networks both small scale and large scale united together under a roof for its function. Today, this 20 years old COA became the biggest and significant organization in Kerala in the Cable TV industry. Kottayam Cable Channel Distributors Pvt Ltd (KCCDL) formed in 2006 under the leadership of Kottayam district Committee of COA. As a matter of fact, KCCDL is the best and in forefront among all the Companies under other district Committees of COA in Kerala. DRISYA Channel is one among the prime projects of KCCDL. It is a complete district channel with different vision and mission. It has flourished in the different places of central part of Tranvancore with the help of cable operators and experienced professionals. Above that Drisya is a main source of transparent regional news for these region of Tranvancore. Drisya’s news bureaus consisting of about 10 cameramen and near about 15 news reporters put their efforts round the clock to extend the regional news to our viewers honestly considering the priority and significance. All these news bureaus have been inter-connected to Central desk through online system. Apart from news, it telecasts news oriented, knowledge oriented programme through Drisya news Channel. We accept advertisement on between the news bulletins and other programme. Candidly speaking, work is on the anvil to make this as a full time news Channel. Giving great attention for entertainment, Drisya has introduced a Channel ‘DRISYA ENTERTAINMENT’. A complete entertainment channel devoted entirely on entertainment is being telecasted for 24 hours. Priority and special care have been given for selecting elite class movies, ideal for public presentation. These movies are shown on TV screen 24 hours in ‘DRISYA MOVIES’ Channel, an integrated and prime part of Drisya Channels. About 30 prolific staff who have rendered eminent service in other popular channels are currently working in ‘DRISYA Channels’ and their proficiency is the asset of this wing.
