In this Kavin honour killing case, Just 'coz a rumour came out like "Subashini said she didn’t love Kavin",
People started posting old pics of them together
And began abusing the girl like anything.
For the past 2 days, I couldn’t even open Insta because of this.
Even those who talk about women's rights and social justice, They themselves posted pics of both together without any privacy concern, and started writing poetry like, "Would he have suffered this much when he died?"
Blaming the girl straight,
Turning the whole thing into a drama — Honestly, I couldn’t control my anger.
Someone lost his life. But the whole public is only focusing on the girl’s character.
Some of you speaking in a way that could even push a girl into su***de.
---
Let me be clear here:
Even if it's true that Subashini said "I didn’t love Kavin", Still, I won’t blame her. I understand her situation.
On one hand, a family who killed her lover,
On the other hand, society is yelling and abusing her.
She might be scared.
She might be in shock.
She might be stuck in a confused state, not able to decide anything clearly.
In this kinda moment, How can a girl speak openly about her emotions?
This is not about whether Subashini’s love was pure or fake.
All this drama will only help the real justice for Kavin get washed away.
Subashini is also a victim.
Right now, what we need to focus on is: Her safety.
What we should condemn is: Kavin’s honour killing.
