If you are reading this, you are maybe wondering who are these people, why do they offer local businesses to be added to this South Goa Life listing or event calendar, for free? We will make it more clear on our website soon but let m
e just drop a message I wrote this morning to clarify things about any possible commercial activities by South Goa Life. Well, it's actually very simple; there are no commercial activities done by or via South Goa Life. Visitors don't pay anything. We don't accept payments from businesses who want to be put on top. We don't even advertise on the website .. because this just does not match with our purpose. Oh I forgot to mention that we don't sell any data we receive to third parties, we don't spam the email addresses we receive and we don't bother businesses who put themselves on our platform with weird offers. South Goa Life is our community initiative and all our time is unpaid volunteer time. We try to keep the costs down and the money we spend and invest in SGL is for karma only. I know it sounds weird that we don't make money with this, many people have suggested to do it differently. But we really don't want to change this. Besides we are building up a webdesign agency called More Impact LLP (moreimpact.in) where young local professionals can learn and get real working experience to become tech savvy entrepreneurs. More Impact LLP is also a social enterprise, we don't have the need for personal gain nor the intention to make profit and pay shareholders or banks or so. We can just put any profit back in the enterprise, the people, the community. To be absolutely clear and transparent: the young local professionals who do the work are paid a salary. They can only do the work if they don't have to make money elsewhere to pay for their bills and families. Local businesses who ask us to design and build a website will be charged the lowest possible costs as we are trying to help local businesses who cannot afford a professional website done by a commercial agency.
