L’oro 🍴

We recently visited L’oro Panjim, one of Panjim’s newest restaurants, and it’s safe to say this place is already making quite an impression.

Started by a couple of friends with a shared love for good food, this spot has been open for just 2 months, yet it’s quickly gaining popularity among both Goans and tourists—and it’s easy to see why.

The restaurant offers a well-rounded experience, serving everything from brunches to late-night dinners, along with a menu that features seasonal plates, tapas, and specialty dishes. Their cocktails and drinks are definitely a highlight—creative, well-balanced, and perfect to pair with the food.

And for coffee lovers, they’ve got you covered too—the café latte and iced latte we tried were both smooth and well-made.

Coming to the food, we started with the Prawns Pil Pil, which was flavourful and cooked just right. The Cacio e Pepe Pizzette was simple yet delicious, with a perfect balance of cheese and pepper. The Chicken and Waffle offered a great mix of sweet and savoury, while the Linguine Limmone was light, zesty, and refreshing.

Another standout was the Whipped Feta with Assorted Breads—creamy, indulgent, and a great sharing dish.

The ambience is spacious, stylish, and inviting, making it ideal for everything from casual catch-ups to date nights and group outings. They also host Acoustic Thursdays, adding a live music element that makes the experience even more enjoyable.

Overall, L’oro Panjim is a promising new addition to the city’s dining scene—offering great food, good drinks, and a lively yet relaxed vibe. Definitely worth a visit if you’re exploring Panjim! ✨

We recently visited the Gandhi Shilp Bazaar (State) at the International Centre Goa, and it turned out to be a truly enriching experience.

Organised under the National Handicrafts Development Programme and hosted by the Assam Small Industries Development Corporation Ltd., this exhibition beautifully showcases India’s diverse traditional craft heritage.

With around 70 artisans from across the country, many of them from the North-East region, the bazaar offers a wide variety of authentic, handmade creations. From Gond paintings, Moonj craft, Mekhala Shador, Bastar Dokra to Rajasthani & Meghalaya wood crafts and intricate Banjara embroidery, every stall reflects the rich cultural identity and craftsmanship of its region.

What makes this exhibition special is not just the variety, but the direct interaction with artisans, giving you a deeper appreciation of the effort, skill, and stories behind each piece.

More than just a shopping experience, the Gandhi Shilp Bazaar is a platform that supports and uplifts skilled artisans, helping preserve traditional art forms while promoting sustainable livelihoods.

If you appreciate handmade art, culture, and meaningful purchases, this is definitely worth a visit. It’s a great way to experience India’s artistic diversity while supporting local artisans. ✨
