Goan Reporter: Awareness Talk on Plastic Pollution Held by Samraat Club on Environment Week.
Tukaram Kharbe, Range Forest Officer of Campal Range, has been serving the Goa Forest Department with dedication since joining the department in 2002. Over the years, he has rendered valuable service in various forest divisions across Goa, including Canacona, Sanguem, Sanvordem, Ponda, and Altinho, before taking charge at Campal.
As the Range Forest Officer, Kharbe currently oversees several important environmental and wildlife conservation facilities, including the Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary at Chorao, the Forest Nursery at Campal, the Wildlife Habitat Garden and Nature Interpretation Centre (NIC) at Campal, Carambolim Lake, and the 24x7 Wildlife Rescue Centre at Campal.
Apart from his official responsibilities, he also serves as the Secretary of the Biodiversity Committee of Tuem Village, contributing actively towards biodiversity conservation and sustainable environmental management. His extensive experience and commitment continue to play a significant role in strengthening wildlife protection and ecological awareness in Goa.
