निपाणीजवळ पुणे-बंगळूरू राष्ट्रीय महामार्गाच्या (NH-48) बांधकाम सुरू असलेल्या भागावर १२ मीटर उंचीची प्रबलित मातीची (RE) भिंत कोसळल्यानंतर भारतीय राष्ट्रीय महामार्ग प्राधिकरणाने (NHAI) तीन अधिकाऱ्यांना निलंबित केले असून त्यांच्यावर शिस्तभंगाची कारवाई सुरू केली आहे. निलंबित अधिकाऱ्यांमध्ये प्रकल्प संचालक, पूल अभियंता आणि निवासी अभियंता यांचा समावेश आहे, तसेच कंत्राटदार आणि संबंधित NHAI अभियंत्याला कारणे दाखवा नोटीस बजावण्यात आली आहे.

NHAI च्या म्हणण्यानुसार, ही घटना २९ जुलै रोजी संकेश्वर बायपास आणि महाराष्ट्र सीमेदरम्यानच्या सहा पदरी महामार्ग प्रकल्पाच्या पोहोच मार्गावरील भराव्यावर घडली. प्राथमिक मूल्यांकनानुसार, सततच्या मुसळधार पावसामुळे पाण्याची गळती आणि धूप होऊन भिंत कोसळली. वाहने आधीच जवळच्या सेवा रस्त्यावर वळवण्यात आल्याने वाहतुकीत कोणताही व्यत्यय आला नाही.

पुनर्स्थापनेचे काम सुरू असून, सविस्तर चौकशी सुरू करण्यात आली आहे

Respected Shri Shashikala Jolle Madam, MLA from the Nippani constituency, Karnataka, visited the NH-4 highway near Khadi Corner, Nippani, where a portion of the newly constructed highway had collapsed. She inspected the damaged site to assess the situation, understand the extent of the damage, and review the condition of the highway.

This incident is a serious safety concern, as the highway has collapsed even before being opened to traffic. A thorough investigation should be conducted, and strict action should be taken against the contractor and any officials found responsible for poor-quality construction, so that such incidents do not occur in the future.

An accident occurred on Devchand College Road involving a car and a motorcycle. According to people at the scene, the occupants of the car were allegedly under the influence of alcohol; however, this has not been officially confirmed.

The motorcycle rider and his family sustained serious injuries. Local residents of Nipani immediately rushed to help and called for emergency medical assistance. A total of three ambulances arrived at the scene and transported the injured rider and family for treatment.

The occupants of the car were taken to the police station for further investigation.

A heartfelt thank you to the people of Nipani for their quick response, support, and assistance to the injured rider and their family during this difficult time.
