পাথারকান্দির কাবাড়ীবন্দের বাসিন্দা মরহুম আব্দুল কাইয়ুম সাহেবের মেয়ে আফরুজা সুলতানা পাথারকান্দি কলেজ অফ এডুকেশন-এর প্রশিক্ষণার্থী বিএড ২০২৩-২০২৫ বর্ষের ছাত্রী।বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কর্তৃক প্রকাশিত ফলাফল শীট অনুসারে, পাথারকান্দি বি.এড কলেজের প্রশিক্ষণার্থী আফরুজা সুলতানা ৮৪.২% নম্বর নিয়ে আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মধ্যে প্রথম স্থান অধিকার করেছেন। আফরুজা সুলতানার এই ফলাফলে প্রশিক্ষণার্থী বন্ধুদের সঙ্গে এলাকাবাসী ও শিক্ষকসমাজ খুব আনন্দিত পাথারকান্দিবাসীদের জন্য গর্বের দিন। আফরুজা সুলতানার দীর্ঘায়ু ও স্বাস্থ্য এবং ভবিষ্যৎ উজ্জ্বল কামনা করি 🤲

Allegations of medical negligence have once again surfaced from Katigorah after the death of a pregnant woman at a private hospital named Central Hospital in Katigorah Chourangi in Cachar district.

Unrest followed, as the family of the patient blamed the hospital and it's "inexperienced doctors". Katigorah Police intervened with reinforcement and an FIR was later lodged. Lathicharge ensued, followed by arrests of two doctors.

The two arrested doctors in the Katigorah Central Hospital case are:

1. Dr. G.D. Dewri – A government doctor associated with Katigorah Model Hospital and an anaesthesiologist.

2. Dr. Tasmin Sumaiya Laskar – Allegedly involved in the treatment of the deceased patient at Central Hospital.

Both were detained by Cachar Police last night, along with two other hospital staff.

They were apprehended based on an FIR filed by the husband of deceased Ranjana Begum.
