A Mother’s Old Belongings and Her Absence
When a mother leaves this world forever, she leaves behind a treasure of memories for her children memories in which her presence can still be felt every day.
After a mother is gone, her old salwar kameez, her worn-out dupatta, or simply seeing the things she once used can bring tears to her children’s eyes.
There is no cure for that pain. Holding her dupatta close, we try to find the familiar fragrance and warmth of our mother.
The world may offer countless comforts and delicious food, but nothing can ever replace the taste of the roti made by a mother’s hands or the peace of resting in her lap.
A mother’s absence is a pain that never truly leaves us; it simply becomes deeper and quieter with time.
