Saudi Arabia has no rivers, yet it grows crops by converting salty seawater into fresh water using desalination technology. This process allows the country to survive and farm even in desert conditions.
India, on the other hand, has a massive 7,500 km coastline. If India uses the same technology on a large scale, the salty seawater could become a valuable resource. It could solve water shortages and even help supply fresh water to other parts of the world.
