The Anglo Swiss Watch Company is a Kolkata based watch dealer established in 1908. This Anglo Swiss Watch with a Swiss movement was assembled and sold by this firm in 60’s and till early 70’s. I have seen several variations named Cavalry and have a very small dial size with this 35mm case size. I added a bright red suede strap to match the red color in the dial. These are hand wound 17 jewel movements very popular in those days.

Sandoz 17 jewel hand winding mechanical watch from the 60’s. It’s a 34mm case considered small by today’s standards. The watch has Swiss pedigree and was originally established by Henri Sandoz. It became popular in India when local assembly started in 60’s. This particular watch I bought in Kolkata from a vintage watch dealer at Radha Bazaar. Though not very precious but one of my favourites…it keeps perfect time. I also love the natural Patina on the watch dial which makes it collectable.

This watch was bought by my nephew Kaustuv about 20 years back…it’s Omega Constellation from late 90’s it has an integrated bracelet and this watch was very much in demand for its Roman numerical bezels.

This is a vintage 50’s hand winding Omega Seamaster from my father’s collection. This is one from the Crosshairs collection…..movement maybe 283/420 these are gold capped with 45 hour power reserve. The watch has been extensively used for 75 years and has never been opened or serviced. I use to wear this watch in school and never realised its true value so the dents and scratches on the case.
