I am writing to draw your kind attention towards an issue of grave concern regarding waste management and protection of our fragile ecosystem in our village namely Guiwa Pattan.
While several initiatives have been launched across the country under the theme “Clean India”, the situation on the ground tells a different story. In particular, the construction of garbage sheds directly on water bodies is highly objectionable. Such unscientific and harmful practices not only waste valuable public money but also damage our sensitive environment instead of protecting it. Water bodies are a vital natural resource, and polluting them under the guise of cleanliness is both unsustainable and counterproductive.
This clearly reflects a lack of proper planning and application of mind. Those responsible for approving and executing such projects must be held accountable, and corrective action must be taken immediately.
At the same time, it is important to recognize that cleanliness and environmental protection are a collective responsibility. Citizens too must play their part by ensuring proper waste disposal and refraining from practices that harm our surroundings.
I therefore humbly request your esteemed office to:
1. Order an immediate review of such unscientific waste management practices.
2. Direct concerned authorities to adopt sustainable, eco-friendly, and scientifically sound waste disposal methods.
3. Ensure accountability of officials/agencies responsible for harmful v lost.
I hope that your esteemed office will intervene in this matter on priority and initiate strict yet sustainable measures for safeguarding our environment.
Below is the glaring example of such unplanned, unscientific, and harmful practice where public health is in grave danger as this water body is used to supply water downstream to many villages. If any untoward incident happens who shall be held responsible???
