I can live my life by the sea.
People often debate between beaches and mountains. I am a 200% beach person. The sound of the waves is perhaps the most beautiful sound there is, yet somehow, there is also a deep silence by the sea.
And that silence is where I feel most alive.
Here are a few life lessons from the sea, after spending so much money so that you don’t have to:
1. Every end is a new beginning.
The last glimpse of the sea you have from the shore feels like the end of what your eyes can see. But beyond that point lies an enormous, unseen ocean. Sometimes, what looks like an ending is simply the beginning of something much bigger.
2. The waves aren’t fighting to win. They’re simply trying to reach the shore.
We spend so much of our lives thinking about competition, achievement and legacy. But one wave rises over another, and eventually, both disappear. No one remembers which wave was bigger.
There are no winners. There is only doing your bit, living the best life you can, and eventually saying goodbye without expecting the world to remember.
By this time, the sun is setting, and I go back to my room.
I promise to return with more insights from the unknown. 🌊
