MOST PARENTS DON’T KNOW THIS…
A baby girl’s weight is NOT supposed to be exactly the same every month.
And no… a “chubby baby” does NOT always mean a healthier baby.
Doctors actually compare babies using growth ranges — because every baby grows differently based on genetics, feeding, sleep, and development. 👶💖
Here’s what shocked many parents:
✨ A healthy newborn baby girl can naturally weigh anywhere from 2.4 kg to 4.2 kg (5.3–9.3 lbs)
✨ By 6 months, many healthy baby girls are usually around 5.8–9.2 kg
✨ By 12 months, healthy weight commonly falls around 7.1–11.3 kg
BUT HERE’S THE IMPORTANT PART ⬇️
A baby’s growth pattern matters MORE than just one number.
Sudden weight loss, no growth for months, poor feeding, extreme sleepiness, or delayed milestones should always be discussed with a pediatric doctor.
Many parents panic after comparing their baby to social media babies…
Please don’t. ❤️
Some babies are naturally petite.
Some are naturally bigger.
Some gain weight fast early… then slow down later.
That can still be completely normal.
📌 One mistake I found in this chart:
The “11 month” weight row had a typo error. The maximum weight was written incorrectly. It should be about:
👉 15.4 – 24.3 lbs
