Ashavadi congress poonch and Congress Unit Surankote Holds Protest Over Deaths of Children in Madhya Pradesh
Surankote: The Adhavasi Congress poonch and congress Party Unit Surankote today staged a strong protest against the BJP-led Madhya Pradesh Government over the reported deaths of around 33–35 children, particularly from vulnerable tribal and SC/ST communities, allegedly linked to negligence and the use of contaminated or unsafe cough syrup.
The protesting Congress leaders demanded the immediate resignation of Madhya Pradesh Health Minister Rajendra Shukla, holding the government accountable for the alleged failure of the health administration to protect the lives of innocent children.
The Congress Unit Surankote also extended its full solidarity and support to the ongoing protest in Madhya Pradesh led by National President of the Adivasi Congress, Dr. Vikrant Bhuria, and condemned what it described as the government’s failure to ensure adequate accountability and timely action.
The protesters demanded a fair, impartial and time-bound investigation, strict action against every official, manufacturer, supplier or other person found responsible, and adequate compensation and assistance to the bereaved and affected families.
The protest was attended by Vice President, District Congress Committee Poonch, Advocate Sheraz Bajjar, and District president poonch Adhavasi congress and congress party Block President Surankote Waheed Hussain Shah. Working President Skinder Hayat, Block Secretary Jameel Ahmed, Ghulam Nabi Jatt, Yaser Qureshi, Shakeel Banday, and several other Congress leaders and workers also participated.
Addressing the gathering, Congress leaders said that the loss of innocent children’s lives is a matter of grave concern and that accountability cannot be compromised. They urged the Madhya Pradesh Government to take immediate corrective measures and ensure that such a tragedy is never repeated.
Congress Unit Surankote stands firmly with the affected families and supports the demand for justice, accountability and transparency.
