Vijai Sardesai Slams Govt Over Pending Subsidies

MLA Vijai Sardesai criticised the government for failing to disburse subsidies, revealing that he received a 389-page list of beneficiaries still waiting for their dues. Around 10,270 beneficiaries are owed a total of ₹4.8 crore, he said, adding that even in the Minister’s own taluka, 864 farmers are yet to receive their compensation.

Vijai Sardesai Flags Sharp Cuts in Civil Supplies Budget

MLA Vijai Sardesai raised concern over the declining Civil Supplies budget. He pointed out that in 2023-24, the budget was ₹88.5 crore, later revised to ₹184 crore, but only ₹43 crore was actually spent. For 2024-25, the estimate dropped to ₹68 crore and further reduced to ₹58 crore this year. Subsidies have seen a major cut from ₹39 crore to ₹6.5 crore, while funds for major works fell from ₹1 crore to just ₹20,000.

Vijai Sardesai Demands Regularisation or Pay Hike for Krishi Mitras
