எங்கள் தெருக்களில் ஒரு குப்பைத் தொட்டி கூட இல்லை. குப்பை வண்டியோ வாரத்திற்கு ஒருமுறை மட்டுமே வருகிறது. இதனால், மக்கள் உணவுக் கழிவுகள் உட்பட அனைத்து குப்பைகளையும் காலி மனைகளில் கொட்டும் ஒரு அவலநிலைக்குத் தள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.
🤢 விளைவு: துர்நாற்றம், நோய்த்தொற்று அபாயம் எனப் பெரும் சுகாதார சீர்கேடு ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது.
8 மாதங்களுக்கு முன்பு ‘தமிழ்நாட்டின் 2வது வளர்ச்சி பெற்ற நகரம்’ என்ற பெருமையைக் கேட்டு கோவைக்கு குடிபெயர்ந்தேன். ஆனால், இங்கு நான் காண்பதோ வேதனைக்குரிய காட்சி. இது எங்கள் பகுதியின் பிரச்சனை மட்டுமல்ல, கோவையின் பல இடங்களில் இதே நிலைதான் நீடிக்கிறது.
இந்த அலட்சியம் தொடர்ந்தால், நம் கோவையின் எதிர்காலம் என்னவாகும்?
