The ongoing initiative to lay roads across the length and breadth of the Karewa lands in village Rahmoo, collaboratively facilitated by Rahmoo Public Interest-RPI, marks a historic and unparalleled milestone for our village. This effort—driven by unity, mutual respect, and an exemplary sense of community service—has brought together farmers from all sections, each contributing portions of their land for the greater common good. Such collective spirit is truly once in a millennium.
A significant number of long-pending road issues have already been resolved, though much work still lies ahead. We sincerely hope that this model of cooperation is replicated in the adjoining villages as well—especially where the installation of HDP orchards by a few has resulted in severe congestion and accessibility challenges for many farmers.
In today’s mechanized era of farming, robust and accessible road conduits across agricultural lands are essential. RPI wholeheartedly expresses its gratitude to the farmers of Rahmoo for their goodwill and remarkable gesture of sharing land for public convenience.
We also make an earnest appeal to the District Administration Pulwama to concretize these main roads in the coming years to ensure sustainable farming and long-term benefit for the entire region. Some key roads have already been macadamised this year, and for that, we extend our sincere thanks to the administration.
