Team Rahmoo PDD employees are working tirelessly to restore power supply in Rahmoo and adjoining areas after flash floods washed away several HT poles near Ruma Reshi bridge. Grateful to District Administration Pulwama for their swift and timely response. Hopefully, the Rahmoo feeder will be restored soon, bringing relief to the affected areas.

Rain has stopped, and the water flow at Rumshi Nallah has considerably reduced. However, an 33 KV sub transmission line, was damaged in Rambaira Nallah at SIDCO Lassipora, while a residential house collapsed in Rajpora. In Rahmoo, flash floods in Rumshi Nallah washed away a few HT poles, leading to disruption in power supply. Basharat Qayoom

Mass Parent-Teacher Meet Held at HSS Rahmoo

Government Higher Secondary School Rahmoo on Thursday organised a Mass Parent-Teacher Meet (PTM) at the cluster level.

Tehsildar Rajpora, Muneer Hussain, was the chief guest on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, he expressed concern over the rising menace of drug abuse in society and urged parents as well as teachers to play a proactive role in guiding the younger generation.

He stressed on the importance of counselling students regularly, motivating them to stay away from negative influences, and laying greater emphasis on reading habits and focused learning for their overall growth.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from parents, local citizens, and members of Rahmoo Public Interest (RPI).

RRCC Pulls Off Stunning 3-Wicket Victory Over White Rose Wathoora in Tujan Premier League

In a thrilling contest at the Tujan Sports Ground, Ruma Reshi Cricket Club (RRCC) pulled off a sensational victory, defeating White Rose Wathoora by three wickets in the ongoing Tujan Premier League.

Batting first, White Rose Wathoora posted a competitive total of 144 runs in 18 overs, thanks to some solid middle-order contributions. RRCC bowlers, however, kept the opposition in check with disciplined bowling. Anas Shafi led the attack with three wickets, while Aaqib Ayoub, Ishfaq Bhat, and Nasir Abbas picked up two wickets each.

RRCC’s chase began on a shaky note, collapsing to 37 for 7 in the 9th over, putting the team under immense pressure. But what followed was a remarkable turnaround led by Afraj Yaseen and Salik Mir, who stitched together a match-winning partnership.

Both batters remained unbeaten, with Afraj scoring 62 runs and Salik contributing 61 runs, guiding RRCC to an unforgettable win. Their partnership not only rescued the team from a dire situation but also ensured victory with composure and determination.

For their outstanding performances, Afraj Yaseen was named the Game Changer of the Match, while Salik Mir was adjudged the Man of the Match.

The RRCC management extended heartfelt congratulations to both players for their exceptional innings under pressure and acknowledged the entire team’s effort in securing this important win.
