Kulgam, September 16, 2025 — A devastating fire broke out today at the residence of Gull Mohammad Bhat, son of Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, in the Devsar area of Kulgam district. The house suffered extensive damage due to the blaze.
At the time of the incident, no fire tender was immediately available on the spot. However, personnel from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and local police arrived promptly and assisted local residents in their efforts to control the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures.
Fire tenders reached the scene later and successfully brought the fire under control. Fortunately, there are no reports of any casualties. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained and is currently under investigation.
Local authorities are urged to ensure quicker deployment of emergency services in future incidents to minimize damage and ensure public safety.
