Ujjain MP Sheds 32kgs After Nitin Gadkari Promises Him Development Funds Worth Rs 1000Cr.

After Union Minister Nitin Gadkari's challenge of reducing weight for allocating funds for development works in Ujjain, BJP MP claimed of shedding 32 kg.

Taking up Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari's challenge to lose weight, Ujjain MP Anil Firojiya lost almost 32 kg of weight in lieu of development in his constituency after Union Minister Nitin Gadkari challenged him to lose weight in exchange for Rs 1000 crore for development work in his constituency for each kg lost.

Speaking to reporters, Ujjain MP Anil Firojiya said, 'I accepted the challenge and I have lost almost 32 kg."

While addressing a public event in Ujjain in February this year, Union minister Nitin Gadkari promised the MP on stage that he would give Rs 1000 crore for development work for each kilogram lost.

A new study finds that the western Arctic Ocean is now acidifying three to four times more than her other oceans, all due to climate change. According to this study, the rate of acidification of the Arctic Ocean correlates with the rate of sea ice loss due to climate change.

Why does hyperacidity occur? Arctic sea ice is melting rapidly. In return, bodies of water are now exposed to the atmosphere. As a result, the oceans now more readily absorb rising levels of carbon dioxide in the air, which causes acidification.

Scientists fear that ocean acidification will worsen in the coming decades if sea ice continues to melt at its current rate. The situation will only get worse until the Arctic sea ice disappears.

When CO2 dissolves in seawater, it becomes carbonic acid. This lowers the pH of the ocean and increases its acidity, harming acid-sensitive organisms.

After running on a pure-play subscription-based model, streaming colossal Netflix has unveiled its ad-supported plan.

Initially, the ad-supported model will be launched in 12 markets. However, India is not on this list.

‘Basic with Ads’ will be launched in Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Spain, the UK and the US.

The plan will be priced at $6.99 per month in the US and will be launched on November 3.

Indian consumers will keep a close eye on the launch of the ad-supported plan in the country where Netflix has been losing subscribers for the last two quarters.

Spanish prosecutors are looking into a group of male university students who were caught on camera in Madrid yelling vulgar, misogynistic insults at female students.

Videos of insults directed at women in the building next to it by men in all-male student housing have been circulating for days.

The "macho, incomprehensible, unjustified, and simply repulsive behaviour" was criticised by Pedro Sánchez, the Prime Minister of Spain.

It has prompted extensive discussion and political condemnation.

One pupil yelled: "Rabbits, wh**es, come out of your holes. You bunch of nymphomanic prostitutes are disgusting."

Then, in a planned action, students from the Colegio Mayor Elas Ahuja building across the street pulled open their curtains and began yelling and making animal noises.
