Karan Johar is returning to the Koffee couch one last time with Koffee With Karan Season 9, marking the final season of the popular celebrity talk show. In an emotional announcement video, Johar reflected on the show’s journey, from controversies and trolling to the love and conversations that kept audiences coming back. Season 9 will premiere on JioHotstar on October 14. The guest lineup has not yet been announced.

PMC Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram has directed officials to complete the 50-metre-wide Katraj-Kondhwa Road project by March 2027 and open the widened stretch to traffic.

The road-widening project has faced delays for nearly a decade and is expected to help ease traffic congestion in the Katraj-Kondhwa corridor once completed.

The PMC commissioner has also directed officials to complete land acquisition for the proposed 84-metre-wide road by March 2028, setting a separate deadline for the larger planned road project.

The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has postponed the State Services Main Examination 2026, which was scheduled to begin on October 3.

The commission has also deferred the Maharashtra Civil Engineering Main Examination 2026 and the Maharashtra Group-B (Non-Gazetted) Main Examination 2026. Revised dates for all three examinations will be announced separately.

The decision comes after representations from students, parents and student organisations seeking postponement and amid concerns over the examination process. The MPSC has also decided to re-evaluate answer sheets from the State Services Main Examination 2025 after students and student organisations raised objections regarding their evaluation.

A fire broke out at a Bank of India office on the sixth floor of a building on Laxmi Road in Pune city on Monday.

Seven fire tenders were rushed to the spot and firefighters brought the blaze under control. Cooling operations are currently underway to prevent any possible flare-up.

No injuries or casualties have been reported so far.

The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has suspended the FSSAI licence of Mumbai's iconic Kyani & Co following an inspection that reportedly found several food-safety and hygiene violations.

During the inspection on September 27, FDA officials reportedly found cats, rat droppings and cockroaches in food preparation and storage areas. Officials also reportedly found blood collected inside a refrigerator and an open sewage manhole in the processing section.

Citing serious food-safety and hygiene lapses, the FDA ordered the immediate closure of the eatery, according to reports.

Established in 1904, Kyani & Co is one of Mumbai's long-standing Irani cafés, known for its traditional bakery and café offerings.

Kalepadal police have arrested six people suspected of being part of an inter-district drug trafficking gang allegedly involved in the sale and supply of g***a in Pune. The arrests were made near the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) ground, where police seized 1.044 kg of g***a along with a car.

According to police, the total value of the seized contraband and vehicle is estimated at around â‚ą8.5 lakh. The accused are being investigated for their alleged links to an inter-district drug supply network.

A food safety controversy has emerged in Pimpri-Chinchwad after a customer allegedly found an insect inside a vada pav served at Hotel Ashok in Dapodi. According to the complaint, staff initially claimed the foreign object was a piece of vegetable, while the hotel owner reportedly described it as jute thread. Citizens have urged the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to inspect the establishment. The authenticity of the video has not been independently verified, and a detailed response from the hotel management is awaited.

The Supreme Court has cancelled the bail granted to Shiv Sena corporator Ramesh Mhatre in the Dombivli hospital assault case and stayed the Bombay High Court order that had granted him bail. The matter reached the Supreme Court following a plea by the Maharashtra government.

The court said the message should go “loud and clear” that the medical fraternity cannot be touched. Mhatre has been accused of assaulting doctors and hospital staff at Shastri Nagar Municipal Hospital in Dombivli following a dispute over the treatment of a pregnant woman on July 6.
