OnePlus Nord 6 5G launched in India back in April. It is the brand’s mass premium offering, and was launched at ₹ 38,999 for the base 8GB + 256GB variant. But now, all the variants of the phone have received a signficant price hike.

Nord 6 has received another price hike in India, marking the second increase in price for the smartphone within a week.

The revised pricing is already applicable from 27th May across all official platforms and stores.

First round of price hike
8GB RAM + 256GB storage: ₹ 38,999 to ₹ 41,999
12GB RAM + 256GB storage: ₹ 41,999 to ₹ 46,999

Second round of price hike
8GB RAM + 256GB storage: ₹ 42,999
12GB RAM + 256GB storage: ₹ 47,999

With the new pricing, the OnePlus Nord 6 is now competing with higher-tier devices, without any change in core functionality.
The higher pricing also changes the value-for-money positioning that initially helped the device stand out after launch.

OnePlus has not officially announced the reason behind the latest revision. However, rising memory and storage component costs across the smartphone industry are believed to be among the major factors behind these changes.

Following its last round of hikes in April, Redmi has again hiked the prices of its popular budget and lower mid-range phones, Redmi 15 and Redmi Note 15.

The latest round of price revision is effective from 25th May across all platforms and sees the phones getting dearer by up to ₹ 2,000.

The Redmi Note 15 launched in India back in January 2026 at ₹ 22,999 for the base 8GB + 128GB variant. It’s now sitting at ₹ 26,999 for that same configuration, which is a ₹ 4,000 jump from launch. The 8GB + 256GB model has moved from ₹ 24,999 to ₹ 29,999 over the same period.

The Redmi 15, which arrived in August 2025 starting at ₹ 14,999, has crossed over into another segment, with the same 6GB starting variant now dearer by ₹ 5,500.

While the company hasn’t confirmed the reason behind the price hikes, it can safely be assumed it’s a byproduct of the memory components shortage across the globe, which is hitting budget and cheaper phones the hardest.

If you were already considering either phone, it’s worth acting sooner rather than waiting.
