Meet Mohit Manwani, a Mumbai-based photographer and filmmaker who uses his art to explore humor, inherent sadness, and themes of anti-realism. Fascinated by the black-and-white medium, he embraces a philosophical approach.
Intrigued by design, Mohit celebrates the patterns surrounding us and the artistic elements in our everyday lives. Commercially, he works as an interior and travel photographer, documenting new spaces, places, and cultures. His work has been featured in prestigious publications such as Vice Media’s iD magazine, Mumbai Mirror, Uncommon Studio Zines, and Ephemere in Tokyo.
Mohit’s passion for analog photography stems from its humanness and the appreciation for imperfections. Through his lens, he captures the world, inviting viewers to explore the profound beauty and complexity of life.
Come check out Mohit Manwani’s work at ‘GAZE’ - An analog photography group exhibition, at Darpan Art Gallery from 30th August to 1st September.
