You probably wouldn't imagine that a broken tiny branch at the top of a tall tree sits a jungle owlet. Or that a Rufus woodpecker flew into the bushes where you can't even make out a leaf!
That's because you aren't Waman, my guide for my Pench safari who showed birds in the furthest of nooks and crannies without using binoculars.
Yes people like him do exist and that's why we got to see golden orioles, 3 types of drongos, two kinds of owls, three types of parakerts, babblers, peacocks, Indian rollers, kingfishers, crested hawk eagles, green bee eaters, hornbills and a vulture! And if course a number of animals 💕
This is an eye for beauty for sure.

Like they say, it takes an entire village. In today's times when the human animal conflict is at scary proportions, it is traditions like this that make us a society that cares. Hats off to the villagers at Panchot who set aside land, and contribute with money and food for dogs and other animals and birds. They are indeed rich in more ways than can be described!

MEHSANA: You have heard of the landed gentry; now, meet the dogs of Panchot village, near Mehsana, who are landed sentries — the canines draw income f.
