**About Shri Ballaleshwar Temple**:

Kalyansheth was a merchant in Pallipur and was married to Indumati. The couple was childless for quite some time but later was blessed with a son known as Ballal. As Ballal grew, he spent much of his time in worshiping and praying. He was devotee of Lord Ganesha and used to worship stone idol of Shri Ganesha in the forest along with his friends and companions. As it used to take time, the friends would reach home late. Regular delay in returning house used to irritate the parents of the friends of Ballal who complained to his father saying that Ballal was responsible for spoiling the kids. Already unhappy with Ballal for not concentrating on his studies, Kalyansheth was boiling with anger when he heard the complaint. Immediately he reached the place of worship in the forest and devastated Pooja arrangements organized by Ballal and his friends. He threw away the Stone Idol of Shri Ganesh and broke the pandal. All the kids got frightened but Ballal who was engrossed in Pooja and japa, did not even know what was happening around. Kalayan beat Ballal mercilessly and tied him to the tree saying to get fed and freed by Shri Ganesha. He left for home thereafter.
Ballal semiconscious and tied to the tree in the forest was lying as that with severe pain all over, started calling his beloved God, Shri Ganesha.

“O Lord, Shri Ganesha, I was busy in praying you, I was right and humble but my cruel father has spoiled my act of devotion and hence I am unable to perform Pooja.”
Shri Ganesha was pleased and responded quickly. Ballal was freed. He blessed Ballal to be superior devotee with larger lifespan. Shri Ganesha hugged Ballal and said that his father would suffer for his wrong doings.
Ballal insisted that Lord Ganesha should continue to stay there at Pali. Nodding His head Shri Ganesha made his permanent stay at Pali as Ballal Vinayak and disappeared in a large stone. This is famous as Shri Ballaleshwar.

**श्री बल्लाळेश्वर मंदिर आणि मंदिर परिसर**:
पल्लीपुर नगरात कल्याणशेठ नावाचा एक वैश्यवाणी राहत होता. त्याला इंदुमती नावाची पतिव्रता पत्नी होती. ब-याच वर्षानंतर ह्या दांपत्यास एक पुत्ररत्न झाले. त्याचे नाव बल्लाळ असे ठेवण्यात आले. दिवसेदिंवस बल्लाळ जसा वाढू लागला तसे त्याचे लक्ष देवभक्तीकडे व ईश्वरचिंतनाकडे लागले. गणेशभक्ती वाढू लागली. तो आपल्या मित्रमंडळीना घेऊन जंगलात जाई व पाषाणाची मुर्ती घेऊन त्याचे गणपती समजून भजन पूजन करीत असे. दररोज त्याच्या मित्रमंडळींना घरी परतण्यास उशीर होत असे हे पाहून त्यांच्या पालकांनी कल्याण शेठकडे तक्रार केली. ``तुमचा बल्लाळ आमच्या मुलांना बिघडवीत आहे''. आधीच कल्याणशेठ बल्लाळ अभ्यासात लक्ष देत नाही म्हणून संतप्त होत असत. त्यातच ह्या पालकांच्या तक्रारी ऐकून त्यांचा राग अनावर झाला. क्रोधाने बेभान होऊन कल्याणशेठ ज्या ठिकाणी बल्लाळ मुलांना घेऊन रानात जात असे तेथे पोहोचले. त्यांनी बल्लाळाने मांडलेली पूजा उद्ध्वस्त केली. मांडवही मोडून टाकला. ध्यानाची पाषाण मुर्तीही फेकून दिली. कल्याणशेठजींच्या या अवताराने सर्व मुले घाबरली. परंतु ध्यानात मग्न असणा-या बल्लाळाला भक्तिरसात रममाण झाल्यामुळे ह्या गोष्टीची जाणीवही झाली नाही. त्यामुळे शेठजी फारच संतापले. हातात एक मोठा सोटा घेऊन त्यांनी बल्लाळास बदडून काढले. बल्लाळ रक्तबंबाळ होऊन मुर्च्छित पडला. त्याच अवस्थेत निर्दयी कल्याणशेटने बल्लाळास एका वृक्षाला बांधले व रागाने म्हणाले आता ``येऊ दे तुझ्या गणेशाला तुला सोडवायला तोच तुला जेवू खाऊ घालेल'' असे बोलून संतप्त कल्याणशेठ घरी निघून गेले.लहानगा बल्लाळ निर्जन अरण्यात झाडाला बांधलेल्या अवस्थेमध्ये निपचित पडून होता. त्याला हळूहळू शुद्ध येऊ लागली. असह्य वेदनांनी त्या बालकाचे शरीर ठणकत होते. त्याने गणेशाचा धावा करण्यास सुरूवात केली.
“गणेश दयानिधी मी भक्त। असे जरी सुदृढ भक्तियुक्त। माझा भाव तव चरण कमलात असेल तरी निबद्ध माझा पिता जो अधम। त्याने कर्म केले हे निर्मम। म्हणोनी शासन त्यास अनुपम गणेश भक्ति भंजनास झाले।''
बल्लाळाचा धावा श्री गणेशाने ऐकला श्री गणेश प्रसन्न झाले त्यांनी बल्लाळाला दर्शन दिले. बंध तुटले, तनु सुंदर झाली. बल्लाळाला श्री गणेशांनी वर दिला ‘वत्सा तू श्रेष्ठ भक्त आचार्य व दिर्घायुषी होशील.’ बल्लाळाला श्री गणेशांनी प्रेमाचे अलिंगन दिले. व त्यास म्हणाले बालका ज्याने तुझी पूजा उद्धवस्त केली तो या जन्मीच नव्हे तर अनंत जन्मी दु:ख व द्रारिद्रय भोगेल.
बल्लाळ श्री गणेशाला म्हणाला,`` देवाधिदेवा, आपण याच ठिकाणी कायमचे वास्तव्य करावे व आपल्या दर्शनाने सर्व भक्तांच्या कामना पूर्ण व्हाव्यात.'' श्री गणेश म्हणाले, ''तथास्तु'', मी येथेच ''बल्लाळ विनायक'' नावाने कायमचे वास्तव्य करीन व असा वर देऊन श्री गजानन एका शिळेत अंतर्धान पावले. भक्त बल्लाळाने मागितलेल्या वराने श्री गणेशाने जेथे शिळेत ईश्वरस्वरूप धारण केले म्हणून ती शिळा आज ''श्री बल्लाळेश्वर'' या नावाने प्रसिद्ध आहे.

**About Shri Siddhivinayaka Temple**:

This temple is built by Ahilyabai Holkar. The Panchayatana of - Lord Shiva, Vishnu, Surya, Ganapati and Parvati Devi is situated on the left side in the premises of the temple. The temple is facing towards North. Shri Siddhivinayak’s idol is Swayambhu (Self incarnated). The sanctorum is 15 feet in height and 10 feet width. There is a silver decoration set (Makhar) around SiddhiVinayaka. On the left and right side of the idol there are giant statues of Jay and Vijay respectively. The throne is made up of stone. In the inner sanctorum, there is God’s Shej (bed) room. The Mahadvara (Main Door) is situated in front of the Sabha Mandap (Hall). It has a Nagar Khana(Music Gallery) on the first floor.
The temple of SiddhiVinayaka is on a hillock. Therefore the pradakshina marg (circumambulation track) is 1km.Along the track there are four temples of Shiva, Shivaee Mata, Vishnu and the Grama devatas. Lord Hanuman’s temple is situated outside the temple. On the West, there are temples of Lord Shiva and Shivaee Devi. River Bheema flows near the temple. This river is called Dakshin Vahini (flowing from west), therefore bathing in this river is given importance. Close at hand, there is another temple of Kalabhairava. He is known to be the guard of this place.

On day of Chaturthi, devotees experience three different holy appearance of grate god.

**श्रीसिद्धिविनायकांचे मंदिर आणि मंदिर परिसर**:
हे मंदिर अहिल्याबाई होळकरांनी बांधले आहे. मंदिरात आत जातांना डाव्या बाजूला शंकर, विष्णू, सूर्य, गणपती, पार्वती देवी असे शिव पंचायतन आहे. श्रींचे मंदिर उत्तराभिमुख आहे. श्री सिद्धिविनायकाची मूर्ती स्वयंभू आहे. गाभारा १५ फूट उंच व १० फूट रूंद आहे. सिद्धिविनायकाच्या भोवती चांदीचे मखर आहे. श्रींच्या डाव्या उजव्या बाजूला जय विजयाच्या मोठ्‍या मूर्ती आहेत. सिंहासन दगडी आहे. मधल्या गाभाऱ्यात देवाचे शेजघर आहे. सभामंडपाच्या पुढे महाद्वार आहे. त्यावर नगारखाना आहे.
श्रीसिद्धिविनायकाची मूर्ती टेकडीमध्ये स्थापलेली असल्याने सिद्धटेक मंदिरास एक किलोमीटरचा प्रदक्षिणा मार्ग आहे. या प्रदक्षिणामार्गात शंकर, शिवाईमाता, विष्णू ही मंदिरे व ग्राम दैवत येतात. मंदिराच्या बाहेर श्रीमारुती मंदिर आहे. मंदिराच्या पश्चिमेस शंकराचे व शिवाई देवीचे मंदिर आहे. या मंदिराजवळून भीमा नदी वहाते. ती या ठिकाणी दक्षिणवाहिनी झाली आहे. त्यामुळे येथे भीमेचे स्नान माहात्म्य मोठे आहे. जवळच काळभैरवाचे स्थान आहे. हा येथील राखणदार समजला जातो.

चतुर्थीच्या दिवशी दिवसभर थांबलेल्या भाविकांना देवांची तीन रुपे बघण्यास मिळतात.

*About Shri Kshetra Morgaon* :
Vamanbhat Shaligram, father of Shri Moraya Gosavi performed rigorous penance in Morgaon. Therefore, pleased Mayureshwara (Moreshwar) himself became his son. He is known as Moraya Gosavi. He started the wari (religious procession) to Morgaon. Mangalamurthi was pleased by the devotion of Shri Moraya Gosavi and came to Chinchwad.

Shri Yogindra, an ardent devotee of Ganesha served Shri Moraya Gosavi for 24 years. He began propagating the Ganapathya Sampradaya. He has established a math in Morgaon. The literature of Ganapathya Sampradaya is assembled, edited and published here. Many activities are undertaken by the math.

Rajaram Maharaj gifted Morgoan for Ganapati pooja. Since then Morgaon has come under the Chinchwad Temple Trust. People from all the corners of Maharastra come here for worship. In the Bhadrapada and Magha months, Mangalamurthi palkhi (palanquin) comes here from Chinchwad. There is a big procession on Dussehra.

Morgaon is also known as ‘Bhoosvananda’.

*About the Mayureshwara Temple*:

Shri Ganesha was initially installed in Morgaon, which was later taken to Chinchwad. In front of Shri Mayureshwara’s idol, is the idol of Shri Nandikeshwara. This is the specialty of Morgaon temple. The Karhe River flows in Morgaon. Taking a holy dip in the river, one gets the viture of Dvarayatra. A small temple of Nagnabhairava is situated near the sanctorum. The devotees take the darshan of this temple in the beginning and later worship Shri Ganesha. In the temple premises, there are other temples of avarana devtas. These deities are Astavinayakas and many other gods referred in the Mudgal Purana. All the avarana devatas are worshipped in a particular method. This is called Nitya Yatra.

Deities like Nagnabhairava, Shamivighnesh, Mandarganesh, Durgadevi, Astavinayaka, Dvara devata, Brushundi Maharaj, Shura, Mahashura, Shukla chaturthi, Krishna chaturthi, Khandoba, Renukamata, Gawaraeemata, Hanuman, Sakhshavinayaka, Annapurnachintamani, Shri Moraya Gosavi, Kaplavriksha vinayaka, Navagraha, Ganesh yogindra, Vidyahara Mayuradevi, Ballalavinayaka, Shri Guru Dutta, Naga devata, Mod Pramod, Nandikeshwara and Mahamushaka are present in the temple.
Sitting in the temple of Vighnahara Ganapati, which is to the west, Sage Mudgal wrote the Mudgal Purana. In the main temple there is Garbhagar, Mukhyagar and 3 Mandap Gods. Their darshan is taken earlier to Lord Mayureshwara.

*श्री क्षेत्र मोरगावची माहिती*:
मोरया गोसावींचे वडील वामनभट्ट शाळिग्राम यांनी मोरगावला कठोर तपश्चर्या केली. म्हणून मयूरेश्वर स्वत: त्यांचा मुलगा बनला. तेच पुढे मोरया गोसावी या नावाने ओळखले जाऊ लागले. त्यांनी मोरगावची वारी सुरू केली. त्यांच्या भक्‍तीने प्रसन्न होऊन मोरया चिंचवडला मंगलमूर्ती बनून आले.

मोरगावला थोर गणेश भक्‍त गणेश योगीन्द्र यांनी चोवीस वर्षे मोरयाची सेवा केली. त्यांचा मोरगावात मठ आहे. त्यांनी गणेश संप्रदायाचा प्रचार व प्रसार चालू केला. गणेश संप्रदायाच्या वाङ्मयाचे संकलन, संपादन, प्रकाशन या सारखी अनेक कामे या मठाने केली.

गणपतीच्या पूजेसाठी राजाराम महाराजांनी मोरगाव इनाम दिले. तेव्हापासून ते चिंचवड ट्रस्टच्या व्यवस्थेत आले. इथे महाराष्ट्राच्या कानाकोपऱ्यातून भक्त दर्शनाला येतात. भाद्रपद-माघ महिन्यात चिंचवडच्या मंगलमूर्तीची पालखी इथे येते. दसऱ्याला मोठी मिरवणूक निघते. या वेळी दारूकाम प्रचंड होते.

’मनी इच्छीले मोरया देत आहे’ अशी याची ख्याती आहे. मोरगावला 'भूस्वानंद' म्हणूनही नावाजतात.

श्रीमयूरेश्वर मंदिराची माहिती:
श्रीगणेशाची प्रथम स्थापना झली ते हे मोरगाव क्षेत्र. श्रीमयूरेश्‍वरापुढे नंदिकेश्वर आहे. हे मोरगावच्या मंदिराचे वैशिष्ट्य आहे. मोरगाव येथे कऱ्हा नदी आहे. कऱ्हेमध्ये स्नान केले की द्वारयात्रेचे फळ मिळते. मंदिरात देवळाच्या जवळ गाभाऱ्याबाहेर श्रीनग्नभैरवाचे छोटे देऊळ आहे त्याचे प्रथम दर्शन घ्यावे व मग गणेशाचे दर्शन घ्यावे. मंदिरात मुख्य देवळाच्या बाजूने ओवऱ्या आहेत. यात मुद्‌गल पुराण या गणेश संप्रदायाच्या महान ग्रंथा प्रमाणे आवरण देवतांची मांडणी आहे. यात अष्टविनायक व इतर देवता आहेत. या आवरण देवतांची विशिष्ट क्रमाने पूजा करावी आणि दर्शन घ्यावे अशी परंपरा आहे. यास नित्य यात्रा म्हणतात.
मंदिरामध्ये नग्नभैरव, शमीविघ्नेश, मंदारगणेश, दुर्वादेवी, अष्टविनायक, द्वार देवता, भृशुंडीमहाराज, शूर, महाशूर, शुक्लचतुर्थी, कृष्णचतुर्थी, खंडोबा, रेणुकामाता, गवराईमाता, हनुमंत, साक्षविनायक, अन्नपूर्णाचिंतामणी, मोरया गोसावी, कल्पवृक्ष विनायक, नवग्रह, गणेश योगीन्द्र, विद्याहर मयुरादेवी, बल्लाळविनायक, श्रीगुरुदत्त, नागदेवता, मोद प्रमोद, नंदिकेश्वर, महामूषक या देवता आहेत.
मंदिरात प्रवेश केल्यावर पश्चिमेच्या बाजूला विघ्नहर गणपतीच्या ओवरी मध्ये बसून श्री मुदग्‌ल ऋषिंनी मुदग्‌ल पुराण हे महान पुराण लिहिले. मुख्य मंदिरात गर्भागार, मुख्यागार, तीन मंडप देवता आहेत. त्यांची पूजा करुन दर्शन घ्यावे.
