On the day he registered Orient Tools, Deepak Das wrote a tagline before there was much of a company to put it on: “Proven solution for cutting technology.”

Since then, he has built the company from a single machine in Bhosari into a cutting tool manufacturer with 14 five-axis machines, 75 people and customers across seven countries.

A first-generation entrepreneur, Deepak believes manufacturing rewards patience over shortcuts and trust over quick sales.

He had an uncle’s spare plot in Pune and a strong conviction to build a business.

Eighteen months later, Tata Motors gave Pooja Casting its first major order. Then came the real test: rising aluminium prices, broken cash flow, and a point where the company nearly collapsed.

They continued.

Today, Anil Kulkarni, Founder & Chairman, Pooja Castings, has built an IATF-certified manufacturer serving Tata Motors, Mahindra Group and Siemens, with exports to Germany, the United States, Italy and Switzerland.

On August 4, 2026, Pooja Casting was listed on the BSE after an IPO oversubscribed nearly 280 times.
