Maruti Suzuki India Limited has unveiled its first Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), the e-Vitara, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi.

Built on the new HEARTECT-e EV platform, the e-Vitara focuses on three key principles: superior strength and structural rigidity, a spacious cabin, and advanced high-voltage safety. Measuring 4,275mm in length with a 2,700mm wheelbase, 1,640mm in height, and 1,800mm in width, the e-Vitara features a flat floor design that enhances cabin space while accommodating a high-capacity battery pack.

The Tata Sierra ICE, which retains the classic silhouette of its predecessor, features a fresh design language. Notable exterior elements include connected LED DRLs, flush door handles, and connected LED tail lights. Inside, it offers a more advanced setup compared to the Harrier and Safari, with three screens on the dashboard. Key amenities include three 12.3-inch screens, a panoramic sunroof, and ventilated front seats. For safety, it comes equipped with 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, and ADAS. It will be available with 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 2-litre diesel engine options, and is expected to be priced from Rs 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has been moved out of the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) and is making a remarkable recovery, according to doctors treating him after he was stabbed by an intruder at his Mumbai residence.Mr. Khan suffered six stab wounds, one of which was to his neck, during the attack that occurred at his luxurious apartment in Bandra West around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday. Following the attack, a 2.5-inch fragment of the knife blade had to be surgically removed from his spine during an extensive five-hour procedure.”Saif Ali Khan is recovering exceptionally well. We made him walk, and he’s walking without any issues or significant pain,” Dr. Nitin Narayan Dange of Lilavati Hospital stated during a media briefing today.

The Allahabad High Court on Monday granted anticipatory bail to Sushil Singhania, the uncle of Nikita Singhania, in the su***de case of Artificial Intelligence engineer Atul Subhash.
Justice Ashutosh Srivastava passed the order while hearing an anticipatory bail plea filed by Atul’s wife, Nikita Singhania, and her in-laws.

According to a Bengaluru Police official, Nikita Singhania was arrested in Gurugram, Haryana, while her mother, Nisha Singhania, and brother, Anurag Singhania, were detained in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, for allegedly abetting Subhash’s su***de.

They were arrested on Saturday morning, brought to Bengaluru, and remanded to 14-day judicial custody after being presented before a local court, a police official said.

Folk singer Sharda Sinha, 72, passed away on Tuesday night (November 5, 2024), while undergoing treatment at AIIMS Delhi.

An AIIMS official reported that Sharda Sinha passed away at 9:20 p.m. due to refractory shock caused by septicemia. Sinha was beloved for her folk songs like “Kartik Maas Ijoriya” and “Koyal Bin,” along with Bollywood hits “Taar Bijli” from Gangs of Wasseypur – II and “Babul” from Hum Aapke Hain Koun.

Padma Bhushan awardee Sharda Sinha, renowned for her folk songs in Bhojpuri, Maithili, and Magahi, had been on ventilator support following complications from multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer. She was admitted to the intensive care unit at the Institute Rotary Cancer Hospital (IRCH), AIIMS’s cancer institute, in October 2024.
