A man in a village was known for his anger. He often shouted at people, insulted neighbors, and spread false stories about anyone he disliked.
In the same village lived a quiet monk. He never argued, never spoke harshly, and always helped others. People respected him because he was calm and honest.
One day, the angry man became jealous of the monk’s good name. He started telling people, “Do not trust him. He is pretending to be good.” He insulted the monk in public and tried to turn others against him.
The monk listened quietly and did not respond with anger.
Days passed. Slowly, the villagers began to notice the truth. The monk continued helping people with kindness, while the angry man kept spreading hate. People started avoiding the angry man because they no longer trusted his words.
One day, the man’s own son became sick. Nobody wanted to help him because he had hurt so many people with his speech. Feeling helpless, he went to the monk and asked for help.
The monk immediately came to his house, brought medicine, and cared for the child without speaking about the past.
The man felt ashamed. He realized that all his harsh words had returned only to him. The monk lost nothing, but he himself had lost peace, respect, and support.
From that day, he stopped insulting others and changed his behavior.
☸️💫 Moral Lesson:
When we hurt innocent people, the pain does not stay with them forever. It comes back to us through shame, loneliness, and loss of respect. A pure person remains peaceful, but the one who spreads hate suffers from his own actions.
