India is gearing up for a major transportation transformation with the approval of seven new bullet train corridors. The proposed high-speed rail network will connect key cities including Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Delhi, Lucknow, Varanasi, Bengaluru and Chennai, significantly reducing travel times.
Under the proposed plan, Mumbai-Pune could be covered in just 48 minutes, while Pune-Hyderabad may take a little over two hours. The expansion is expected to boost economic activity, improve regional connectivity and strengthen India's modern transportation infrastructure. The announcement comes as construction of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project continues at full pace.
