RAICHUR TO HAVE A IIT SOON?

Thanking the Centre for bringing an amendment to Article 371 of the Constitution to accord special status for the backward Hyderabad-Karnataka region, the chief minister urged the prime minister to establish an Indian Institute of Technology in north Karnataka, preferably in Raichur district, with at least 50% central assistance to be provided under the special status granted to Hyderabad-Karnataka region as per Article 371, and the rest in the PPP mode with participation of corporate giants like Infosys and Wipro.

Rs.192.3 crore to be spent on improving roads, building bridges in Karnataka : In Shimoga district, projects will be taken up at a cost of Rs. 10.35 crore, in Chitradurga Rs. 3 crore, Davangere Rs. 7.4 crore, Dakshina Kannada Rs. 3.55 crore, Udupi 4.4 crore, Kodagu Rs. 1.1 crore, Dharwad Rs. 6.03 crore, Gadag Rs. 5.55 crore, Uttara Kannada Rs. 7.65 crore, Belgaum Rs. 23 crore, Bagalkot Rs. 10.25 crore, Bijapur Rs. 6.35 crore, Bellary Rs. 5.05 crore, Raichur Rs. 2.75 crore, Koppal Rs. 4.85 crore, Gulbarga Rs. 8.5 crore, Yadgir Rs. 3.05 crore and in Bidar district projects will be taken up at a cost of Rs. 4.25 crore. RAICHUR GETS JUST Rs. 2.75 CRORES FOR ITS DEVELOPMENT??????

People must not be allowed to enter wildlife sanctuaries. Allowing them entry is like making sure that a death sentence hangs over all the animals that live in these sanctuaries. Animals are on the endangered list not just because of poachers. People need to understand and respect animals.
