खुशी मन की एक अवस्था है और इसका भौतिक संपत्ति से कोई लेना-देना नहीं है।

हम बहु-करोड़पतियों को वॉल स्ट्रीट प्लेइंग स्टॉक्स पर एक बंडल खो देने के बाद से चिल्लाते और दुखी महसूस करते हुए देखते हैं; लेकिन बहुत सच। साथ ही हम एक ऐसे आदमी को भी देखेंगे जो खुद को एक लीक झोपड़ी में रहकर आनंदित कर रहा है, यह भी पता नहीं है कि उसे अपना अगला भोजन कहाँ से मिलेगा !!!!! विरोधाभासी लगता है!

सच में, इस दुनिया में कुछ भी हमें खुश नहीं कर सकता, जब तक कि हम भीतर से खुश न हों। भगवान कृष्ण ने अपने सबसे अच्छे दोस्त अर्जुन से यहां तक कहा:-
"अर्जुन, जीवन में सब कुछ आता है और चला जाता है। सुख और दुख अस्थायी अनुभव हैं जो इंद्रिय बोध से उठते हैं। गर्मी और ठंड, खुशी और दर्द आएंगे और जाएंगे। वे हमेशा के लिए नहीं रहते। इसलिए उनसे आसक्त न हों।"

(भगवद गीता अध्याय 2:14)
