Rajouri Witnesses Massive Case Disposal in National Lok Adalat, 772 Cases were disposed off.

National Lok Adalat pertaining to all types of cases was held at District Court Complex, Rajouri and in all other Courts of District Head Quarter Rajouri under the Chairmanship of Rajinder Sapru, Chairman District Legal Service Authority Rajouri (Principal District & Sessions Judge) Rajouri in which three benches were constituted.

First bench was headed by Rajinder Sapru ( Principal District & Sessions Judge Rajouri) assisted by Bindu Khajuria Advocate and Ajay Gupta Advocate, Second bench was headed by Javed Rana ( Chief Judicial Magistrate Rajouri ) assisted by Pradyot Gupta (Assistant Labour Commissioner Rajouri) and Khilat Mehmood Bhat Advocate and Third bench was headed by Shama Sharma (Sub-Judge) Secretary District Legal Services Authority Rajouri assisted by Shavika Gupta (District Mobile Magistrate Rajouri) and Shoket Ali Advocate.

Similar benches were also constituted at Tehsil Level which were headed by the Presiding Officers of the respective Courts.

A total no. of 1,197 cases both Pre-Litigation and Post-Litigation were taken up before these benches out of which 772 Cases were disposed off.

An amount of Rs.1,70,98,614 ( One Crore Seventy lakh ninety eight thousand six hundred and fourteen only) was realized as compensation.

From the court of Principal District & Sessions Judge, Rajouri & Additional District & Sessions Judge Rajouri, 35 MACT Cases were taken up out of which 25 were settled and amount of Rs 139,65,000 ( One Crore thirty nine lakh and sixty five thousand only) was awarded as compensation in those cases.

In this National Lok Adalat, representatives of Banks, Advocates of different Insurance companies, Bar members, PLVs, Staff members, Litigants and large numbers of peoples participated.

to Very Heavy Rain/Snow Over J&K

A moderate to strong intensity Western disturbance is going to affect over Jammu and Kashmir from night of 09th march to 12 March to bring widespread heavy rain/snow.

Heavy snowfall is possible over higher reaches including Sonamarg- Zojila axis, Sinthan top - Peer ki Gali, Razdan top - Sadhna top, Gurez Valley and other upper reaches. Very heavy snow depth is expected over extreme higher reaches.

Kashmir plains will receive a moderate to heavy rain/ gusty winds/thunderstorm with higher activity of North Kashmir. Peak activity is expected on 10 and 12th March evening. A detailed weather update will be shared on tomorrow.

The Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust, Jammu Felicitated UPSC/Civil Services Qualifiers of the Community.

Team Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust (GDCT), led by Patron-in-Chief Haji Abdul Hamid Choudhary, along with Chairman Arshad Ali Choudhary, General Secretary Er. Mohammad Sadiq Azad, Secretary Ch. Asif Khaliq Poswal, and Senior Trustees Er. Mohammad Taj Choudhary, Ch. Inzar Ahmed Rana, and Adv. Mohd Zulkarnain Choudhary, visited the residences of the pride of the community, UPSC–2026 qualifiers; Miss Koh-e-Safa, daughter of Jb. Mehmood Choudhary, Principal District & Sessions Judge, and Mr. Sarfraz Choudhary, son of Sh. Sadiq Ali Choudhary, retired FA & CAO, at their respective residences in Bathindi.

The delegation warmly felicitated and congratulated the young achievers and conveyed their heartfelt greetings to the proud families on this remarkable accomplishment. The team shared pleasant moments with the families and prayed for the continued success, prosperity, and bright future of the UPSC qualifiers.

The members of the delegation described the young achievers as true role models for aspiring civil servants of the community. They expressed hope that their success would inspire many others and that they would play a significant role in the upliftment of marginalized and underprivileged sections of society, particularly the Gujjar–Bakerwal community and other weaker section.
