Laurels for J&K: Aijaz Asad, IAS, Secures Top Position in the National Training Course
Rajouri, August 17: In a proud moment for Jammu & Kashmir, Sh. Mohammad Aijaz Asad, IAS (2012 batch, AGMUT cadre), has secured the Top Position in the prestigious National Training Course, bringing immense honour and recognition to the Union Territory.
Sh. Aijaz Asad is widely regarded as a dynamic, upright, and people-centric officer who has consistently demonstrated exceptional administrative skills throughout his career. Over the years, he has held several key positions and left a significant mark in every posting.
As Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, he played a pivotal role in strengthening urban governance and disaster management. During the COVID-19 pandemic, his proactive measures and people-friendly approach helped Srinagar tackle the crisis effectively, earning appreciation from all quarters.
Earlier, as Deputy Commissioner in different District he launched several innovative initiatives in education, rural development, and youth engagement, fostering transparency, accountability, and citizen participation. His tenure was also marked by efforts to empower grassroots democracy and improve public service delivery.
He has served with distinction in as many as six districts of J & K including Srinagar where his developmental initiatives, direct connect with citizens, and commitment to good governance earned him wide respect.
Speaking on this achievement, people from different areas of the J&K hailed Sh. Aijaz Asad as a “role model for young civil service aspirants” and praised his dedication, intellectual brilliance, and exemplary public service.
