महाराष्ट्र के कोल्हापुर जिले के कागल तहसील में यमगे गांव के बिरदेव सिद्धप्पा डोणे ने संघ लोक सेवा आयोग (UPSC) सिविल सर्विस परीक्षा 2024 में 551वीं रैंक हासिल कर अपने परिवार और गांव का नाम रोशन किया.
सफलता के बाद वह IPS अधिकारी बनने जा रहे हैं. जब यूपीएससी सिविल सर्विसेज के फाइनल रिजल्ट घोषित हुए, तब बिरदेव कर्नाटक के बेलगांव में अपने चाचा की भेड़-बकरियां चरा रहे थे.
गरीब परिवार से निकलकर बनाया इतिहास
बिरदेव का परिवार भेड़-बकरी पालने का काम करता है. उनके पास सिर्फ एक एकड़ जमीन है, और पूरा परिवार इसी पारंपरिक काम पर निर्भर है. बिरदेव ने अपनी पढ़ाई गांव के जिला परिषद स्कूल से शुरू की. 10वीं और 12वीं में भी बिरदेव के अच्छे नंबर थे.
पुणे से की इंजीनियरिंग
इसके बाद उन्होंने पुणे के कॉलेज ऑफ इंजीनियरिंग से सिविल इंजीनियरिंग की डिग्री हासिल की. फिर दिल्ली में दो साल तक UPSC की तैयारी की. पहले दो प्रयासों में असफल होने के बाद, तीसरे प्रयास में उन्हें यह बड़ी सफलता मिली.
दोस्त ने फोन कर बताया- तुम पास हो गए, तुम्हारा नाम सूची में है
जब UPSC का परिणाम घोषित हुआ, तब बिरदेव को इसकी जानकारी नहीं थी. वह बेलगांव में बकरियों के बाल काटने में व्यस्त थे. उनके दोस्त ने फोन कर बताया, "दोस्त, तुम पास हो गए, तुम्हारा नाम सूची में है." यह सुनकर बिरदेव बहुत खुश हुए, लेकिन उन्होंने पहले अपना काम पूरा किया. इसके बाद उन्होंने अपने रिश्तेदारों को यह खबर सुनाई. उस जगह, जहां एक हजार से ज्यादा बकरियां थीं, वहां खुशी का माहौल बन गया.
बकरियां चराने के दौरान की पढ़ाई
बिरदेव ने अपनी सफलता का श्रेय अपनी मेहनत और भेड़-बकरी मौली के आशीर्वाद को दिया. उन्होंने कहा कि बकरियां चराने के दौरान जो समय मिलता था, उसमें पढ़ाई की. उनकी यह तस्वीर, जिसमें वह भेड़-बकरी के साथ अभिनंदन कर रहे हैं, सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल हो गई.
परिवार और रिश्तेदारों का मिला साथ
बिरदेव के पिता सिद्धप्पा ने कहा, "लड़के ने बहुत मेहनत की." बिरदेव ने भी अपनी सफलता का श्रेय अपने माता-पिता, शिक्षकों, चाचा और रिश्तेदारों को दिया. उन्होंने कहा, "इनके समर्थन के बिना यह मुमकिन नहीं था." इस दौरान उनके भाई, जो भारतीय सेना में नायक हैं, ने भी उनकी मदद की.
यूपीएससी रिजल्ट आने के बाद भी बकरियां चराने निकल पड़े बिरदेव
परिणाम आने के दो दिन बाद भी बिरदेव बकरियां चराने में व्यस्त थे. उन्होंने कहा, "यह हमारा पारंपरिक काम है. हमारा परिवार आज भी इस पर निर्भर है. इसे तुरंत छोड़ना मेरे लिए मुश्किल है. मुझे अपनी भेड़-बकरियों से प्यार है. मैंने उनकी सेवा की और मुझे सफलता मिली." बिरदेव की इस उपलब्धि से गांव में खुशी की लहर है. कर्नाटक के बेलगांव के भवानी नगर में खुली जगह पर उनके रिश्तेदार और कुछ लोग उन्हें बधाई देने पहुंचे. गांव से लोग फोन कर पूछ रहे हैं कि वह कब लौटेंगे, बिरदेव जल्द गांव जाएंगे.
