🐟 When rivers turn into metal cocktails, fish suffer — and not just on the surface.

In the Brantas River Basin, researchers found that female Nile tilapia exposed to cadmium and iron had damaged livers, swollen gills, and underdeveloped eggs with poor survival.

🚨 Parasites in city cats? It's more common than you'd think!

A new study across 5 cities in Kazakhstan found that nearly 1 in 5 cats, including pets and strays, were carrying parasites like Toxocara, Giardia, or Toxoplasma. These aren’t just bad for cats, they can infect humans too, especially children. 😿🧒

💬 How often do you think cats in your city get screened for parasites?

Here’s something cool 🐝✨

Bees make a sticky stuff called propolis to protect their hives. Turns out, that same stuff might help us fight malaria.

Scientists tested propolis from Iran and found it works better than some old malaria drugs. The key? Two natural chemicals called tectochrysin and galangin that attack the parasite’s survival system.

Who knew bee glue could fight malaria? 💊🌿

Can a tropical plant 🌱 really help treat diabetes?

A new study says yes. Scientists reviewed 16 experiments and found that Mucuna pruriens not only lowers blood sugar levels, but it also helps fix damaged organs like the pancreas, liver, and even the pituitary gland 🧠

Smaller doses worked best over longer periods. And the seeds were more powerful than the leaves 🌾

This could be a huge step forward for natural diabetes treatments.

🐟 You’re probably not thinking about parasites when you eat fish. But maybe you should be.

🪱 A new study just uncovered new parasite in commercial fish from the Western Pacific, some species had never been reported with it before. That’s not just a first, it’s a warning!

The question is: are we ready to catch up?

🐶💉 Can a vaccine alone stop rabies?

Not always. In Indonesia, the fight against rabies goes far beyond injections.

This new study reveals how community trust, cultural understanding, and even tools like WhatsApp are shaping the future of rabies control.
It’s a reminder that science works best when people are part of the solution.

😱 A dangerous parasite is silently infecting farm animals, and most people don’t even know it exists.

🪱 Trypanosomiasis spreads through fly bites and attacks the blood. It affects animals like buffaloes, cattle, and horses. A major new study shows that 31% of farm animals are infected. Buffaloes are hit the hardest over half carry the parasite.

This disease weakens animals, hurts farmers, and spreads quietly through rural communities. The good news? It’s slowly declining. But we still need faster diagnosis, stronger control strategies, and real awareness.

🪱 Did you know a cat-borne parasite could quietly alter who you are?

Toxoplasma gondii invades the brain and has been linked to risk-taking, neuroticism, and even su***de. Most people have no idea they carry it.

It’s silent, common, and often unnoticed, so be aware, and be cautious.

🐔🌿 Can we raise healthier chickens without synthetic hormones?

A new review says yes, and the solution might come from nature itself.

Researchers found that natural substances from clamshells, plant extracts, and minerals like zinc can help chickens produce more testosterone. This helps them grow better and stay fertile without the risks that come from synthetic hormones.

This could be a big step toward safer, more sustainable chicken farming.

🔎 Can a natural probiotic do the job of antibiotics in poultry?

🐔 A new study published in Veterinary World explored exactly that. Researchers challenged broiler chickens with avian pathogenic E. coli and instead of antibiotics, they gave them Lacticaseibacillus paracasei.

The outcome was clear: birds grew faster, had stronger antioxidant defenses, healthier cholesterol levels, and didn’t require antibiotic growth promoters at all.

🐄💡 Did you know a cow’s behavior can predict her fertility and milk production?

A recent study tracked over 200 dairy cows using smart sensors to monitor rest, movement, and stress. Cows with high restlessness were slower to return to estrus and produced less milk!

This kind of early insight could help farmers spot issues early and give their cows better care especially in tropical climates where heat stress is a big factor.

📱 Technology + Animal science = smarter farming.
