I like little things.

If you ever happen to rip open my chest of memories, I'll lay bare the small, little things that make up my heart.

i) the piece that went amiss from my puzzle set and ruined my perfect little scenery reminds me however small or insignificant I may seem in the grand scheme of things, I still matter. The puzzle of the world would have been incomplete without my piece.

ii) a note written on a carelessly torn piece of paper, now faded by the sands of time, which reads "let's bunk the next class" : makes me take a break from my monotonous life without any guilt because I can always learn the mathematical formulas of life later.

iii) my lover's snow white handkerchief, that once smelled of lilies and love but now soiled with the stench of betrayal and abandonment is a souvenir of the bitter fact that love is not always supposed to be flowery and pretty.

iv) the first poem I ever wrote which was about how clocks around the world can tell different times and still stand correct; just as my thoughts can be different from others but still remain valid on its own.

v) the seashells that I collected from the beach when I was 14, in the hope of making an exquisite ornament out of it, lays on my bedstand as it is, with golden sand grains still stuck to it, because the unfinished task of my naive adolescence gives me one more reason to wake up everyday and start things anew.

If you ever happen to rip open my chest of memories, you'll find me bare in every and all: small, little horcruxes of my life.
