🚧 Sungal Tunnel Update 🚧
The 2.4 km Sungal Tunnel on the Jammu–Rajouri–Poonch NH-144A is set to transform travel by reducing journey time by around 30 minutes, improving road safety, and ensuring smoother connectivity. Currently operational for defence and emergency services, the tunnel is expected to open for the general public on 22 August 2026.

🚧 Manali–Leh Highway is about to get easier!

The upcoming bypass road is set to eliminate two of the most challenging sections of the route—Gata Loops and Nakee La.

Instead of tackling the famous 21 hairpin bends of Gata Loops, the new alignment follows Whiskey Nala, descending from Tanglang La. This will significantly reduce the steep climbs and overall elevation gain.

The bypass will also avoid the climb over Nakee La and the descent back to Whiskey Nala, offering a smoother drive through the valley between Nakee La and Lachulung La.

A major improvement for travelers, bikers, and locals alike. The road is reportedly in its final stages and should make journeys on the Manali–Leh Highway faster, safer, and more comfortable.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on Sunday conducted a controlled blasting operation to remove massive boulders blocking the Srinagar-bound tube of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) at Champari near Chenani in Udhampur district.

It is with profound sorrow that we have learned of the tragic passing of Prithvi Raj, son of Shri Bharat Singh, a resident of Phat Mansoo (Harilag), Kuddhar, Tehsil Kastigarh, District Doda, Jammu & Kashmir, who lost his life in a heartbreaking rockfall incident.

May the Almighty grant the departed soul eternal peace and give strength and courage to the bereaved family to endure this immense loss.

Heartfelt condolences and sincere tributes to the departed soul.

Road khulte hi dono taraf phansi hui tamam gaadiyon ko ba-khairiyat rawana kar diya gaya hai aur traffic dobara bahal ho gaya hai.
Filhal ilaqe mein halki baarish ka silsila jaari hai. Tamam musafiron se guzarish hai ke safar ke dauran ehtiyaat bartein, traffic authorities ki hidayaat par amal karein aur safar se pehle latest road updates zaroor hasil karein.
