Police team of PS Rehambal while conducting naka checking/frisking duty at Phalata naka point apprehended two persons namely

01.Showkat Ahmad Lessu S/O Bashir Ahmad Lessu R/O Sheikh Dawood Colony, Batamaloo, Srinagar
02.Waseem Ahmad Kanday S/O Ali Mohd Kanday R/O Allochi Bagh, Khadi Mill Road, Srinagar.

During their personal search, 13.7 grams of he**in along with polypack were recovered from their possession.

Both accused were arrested on the spot and the contraband was also seized.

Accordingly FIR No. 213/2026 under sections 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered and further investigation is underway.

Continuing its sustained drive against the illegal trade and distribution of narcotic and psychotropic substances, Reasi Police today achieved a significant success with the recovery of 4,080 Pregabalin capsules and apprehension of one person in the jurisdiction of Police Post Banganga.

Yesterday evening, a police party of Police Post Banganga apprehended one person identified as Ankush Kumar S/o Nand Lal, R/o Chak Mathyani, Tehsil Teryath, District Rajouri, who was proceeding from Banganga towards PP Market.

At the time of his apprehension, the individual was carrying a black-coloured polythene bag in his hand. During a search of the said bag, 4,080 Pregabalin capsules were recovered from his possession.

The recovered capsules were packed in four transparent polythene packets containing 1,000 capsules each, along with 08 strips containing 80 capsules, making a total recovery of 4,080 Pregabalin capsules.

In this connection, Case FIR No. 280/2026 under Section 223 BNS has been registered at Police Station Katra, and further investigation has been taken up to ascertain the source and intended destination of the recovered capsules.

Reasi Police reiterates its firm commitment to curbing the illegal trade and abuse of psychotropic substances and will continue its sustained action against persons involved in such activities.

Continuing its sustained drive against drug trafficking under the Nasha Mukt Jammu Abhiyaan, Jammu Police arrested a suspected drug peddler and recovered approximately 10 grams of he**in (Chitta)-like substance from his possession in the R.S. Pura area.

Today, at about 1930 hours,

a police party of Police Station R.S. Pura established a naka at Badhyal Brahmana Road as part of routine checking and surveillance. During checking, one person identified as

Anshu Bhagat S/o Bishan Lal, R/o Dhinday Kalan, Tehsil R.S. Pura, District Jammu, was apprehended on suspicion.

During his personal search, approximately 10.00 grams of he**in (Chitta)-like substance was recovered from his possession.

In this regard, FIR No. 148/2026 under Sections 8/21/22/60 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station R.S. Pura, and further investigation has been taken up to establish the source and intended destination of the contraband and identify other persons involved in the drug network.

Jammu Police reiterated its commitment to taking stringent action against drug trafficking and urged the public to extend cooperation in the collective fight against the menace of drugs.

During routine patrolling near Police Station Bahu Fort, police apprehended two persons, namely Bikash Chandra Swain and Antaryami Pani, and recovered a total of 05 kg of g***a from their possession.

Accordingly, FIR No. 245/2026 under Sections 8/20/29 of the NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort. Both accused have been arrested, and the recovered contraband has been seized after completing all legal formalities. Further investigation is in progress.

Jammu Police reiterates its commitment to combating drug trafficking and appeals to the public to share information regarding narcotics-related activities.
