| A video showing two groups of young girls fighting with each other at the Disney land fair, has gone viral on social media. The incident reportedly happened in Jharkhand's Palamu District on Saturday, 30 July.

As reported by locals, A boy was playing a love triangle with two different girls, with one of them he came to visit the fair. Meanwhile, his other girlfriend had also come to the same fair. Where both the girls encountered the boyfriend and a brawl broke out between the two groups of girls.

Later, the local police rushed to the spot and sent the girls home after persuading them.

| The Congress on ¹ AICC headquarters here, party's Jharkhand in-charge Avinash Pande said Congress president Sonia Gandhi has suspended the three MLAs with immediate effect.

The three MLAs were intercepted late on Saturday night in Howrah district along with a huge stash of cash, following which they were questioned overnight. A blame-game has begun among the ruling and Opposition camps over the seizure.

| Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh have been named the poorest states in India, according to Niti Aayog's first Multidimensional Poverty Index report.

As per the index, 51.91 per cent population of Bihar is poor, followed by 42.16 per cent in Jharkhand, 37.79 per cent in Uttar Pradesh. While Madhya Pradesh (36.65 per cent) has been placed fourth in the index, Meghalaya (32.67 per cent) is at the fifth spot.

Bihar also has the highest number of malnourished people followed by Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

| A group of people attacked policemen injuring four of them in Jharkhand's East Singhbhum district when they were chasing gamblers.

A police team went to conduct a raid at Hat Bazar near Kowali village on being informed that some people were gambling on the occasion of Diwali.

The gamblers ran away after seeing the police team which chased them, the official said. Some unidentified people then started pelting the policemen with stones injuring four, including Officer-in-Charge of Kowali police station Amit Kumar Ravidas. Havildar Om Prakash Mandal suffered serious head injuries in the attack and he was hospitalized.

| A Bokaro-based firm, Kamladityya Construction Pvt. Ltd., on Tuesday emerged as the lowest bidder for the Central Public Works Department’s project to construct a new residence for the Vice-President of India.

The firm bid 3.52% below the CPWD’s estimated cost of ₹214.03 crore with a bid of ₹206.49 crore, beating out five other firms — SAM India Builtwell Pvt. Ltd, Swadeshi Civil Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd., Dee Vee Projects Ltd., PSP Projects Ltd and Ahluwalia Contracts India Ltd., whose bid of ₹268.76 crore, was the highest.

The CPWD had in August invited bids for the construction and maintenance of the Vice-President’s Enclave for five years, as a part of the larger Central Vista redevelopment plan.

The new complex is proposed to come up near Rashtrapati Bhavan and replace the existing Vice-President’s residence at Maulana Azad Road that is proposed to be demolished to make way for office buildings in the new Central Secretariat.

At the Hindustan Times Tourism Conclave in the national capital, Abhinav Parmar, project management coordinator of Jharkhand Tourism Development Corporation, said the department is currently focussing on two Centre-sponsored schemes, mainly the Eco-tourism and Prasad scheme.

| Chief Minister Hemant Soren's effigies were set on fire as the Jharkhand unit of BJP on Thursday staged a demonstration to protest against “lathicharge” on its workers taking part in a rally in Ranchi. Led by Dharmendra Prasad, the East Singhbhum district president of BJP's OBC Morcha, over 100 party workers including women activists took part in the demonstration at the busy Sakchi roundabout.

Several party leaders suffered injuries. As soon as the House assembled for the day, the BJP members began their protest over the namaz room and the state's employment policy even as Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto repeatedly urged them to allow the conduct of business.

| A government order towards allotment of a room in the new Jharkhand Assembly building for the purpose of offering namaz has triggered controversy in the state during the ongoing Monsoon session.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has questioned the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha led government in Jharkhand over an order for allotment of a room for offering namaz in the new state assembly building.

The state Minority Welfare Minister Hafizul Ansari welcomed the allotment of the room for namaz. He said the Speaker's decision was "perfectly alright".

| In his mission to attract investments in the state and foster industrial development, Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday met top leadership from the biggest corporate houses of the country at New Delhi and called upon them to invest in an emerging Jharkhand.

During a roundtable meeting, the Chief Minister met with the leading industrialists from the TATA group, Hyundai Motors, Honda and Maruti Suzuki.

The meeting was focused on the draft Jharkhand Electric Vehicle Policy 2021, it was organized to seek feedback from prospective investors on the policy and showcase the opportunities available in the sector at Adityapur Auto-Cluster and Adityapur Electronic Manufacturing cluster.
